As you must have imagined, the official Tomb Raider Twitter account went on a small spicy rage attack against this one Mark Willard for being rude. The post read, “Table for one? No. Table towards YOU. Mark Willard is RUDE. 😤” With the hashtag #ThatWasRude. Headquarters Lara vibes, anyway. The post itself was fun, but oh, the replies are crying out for demands, memes, and so much desperation for some kind of news on Tomb Raider 12.

First: WTF is Mark Willard? For the lords above know, he is the worthless one from Tomb Raider III, who gets utterly destroyed by Lara in a cutscene after being such a big jerk. A real table-flipping moment, honestly. And yes, he was rude-but here are some super heavy grievances going way beyond some rude acts from a villain way back in the day.

Once the tweet hit the internet, the floodgates opened up. Nostalgia was just an icing on the cake for these gamers. This list that came down the pipeline: patch requests, remasters requests, and of course, the eternal rhetoric: WHERE IS Tomb Raider 12? @_roomofangel_ came out guns blazing with a triple whammy: “Tomb Raider I-III Remastered needs a patch 5 urgently, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered needs a patch 2 urgently, and WHERE IS Tomb Raider 12?” Damn, no chill.

And they weren’t alone. @ItsMissCroft was like, “It would also be rude to not give us patch 5 for 1-3 to include all the graphical and control improvements from 4-5, just saying.” Fair point! Whereas @AdaWpng went on to call the Tomb Raider account really rude: “The way yall aren’t giving us LAU remaster hints is rude.” Legend-Anniversary-Underworld remasters have been one huge request for years, and the players just won’t let it go.

Yet the great pun here was a massive amount of people screaming into the void for TR12. @felixisaac813 spoke his mind: “no one gaf. where is TR12?” Then there’s another pair at it-double-fisting @KubaCodex: “No news about TR12 = VERY RUDE!!!” It seems like there was not a single reply without at least one person chanting “BUT WHAT ABOUT THE NEW GAME THO.” Even @NateTheCroft threw a nice tiny bit of shade: “YOU are rude. When are we gonna get a snippet of our buxom tr queen?”

Then the odd brilliance came along, where @CressOfLight1 confessed to spending years believing Willard said “Cornflakes” instead of what he really said. The remastered version just destroyed their childhood. Moment of utter sadness.

And so yes, the Tomb Raider account wanted to have its moment by going after an old villain, but the fandom? Oh, they had receipts. Patches, remasters, sequels—the players want it all and aren’t shy about calling the whole crew rude for keeping them waiting. Will we get answers any time soon? Who knows. One thing’s for sure: The Tomb Raider community is starving and doesn’t want crumbs.

At this point, Crystal Dynamics might wanna just chuck something before the fans start purchasing tables in real life. Just saying.
