The opening cinematic for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game has just been released! The Dragon Ball franchise has always had excellent opening theme songs, and this game will be no different.

Here is a trailer of the opening cinematic for the game:

The song should be familiar to Dragon Bal Z fans, as it is the iconic Cha-La Head Cha-La. This song is by the artist Hironobu Kageyama, which was made in the ‘80s. It has been used for the Dragon Ball Z anime and assortment of its video games throughout the years.

The cinematic opens up with the one-star dragon ball, followed by the Dragon Ball Z logo, with the dragon ball making up the “O” in the word dragon.

Goku and young Gohan are cruising on the world’s most magnificent cloud, the Flying Nimbus.

The intro then proceeds to show off clips including Goku, Krillin, and Gohan hanging out and feasting, Goku battling it out with Vegeta and Frieza, and ends with the famous still of the Z-fighters, Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Trunks, Krillin, Gohan, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu.

The opening cinematic shows off the insanely-great graphics of franchise favorites, including King Kai, Bulma, Master Roshi, and the greatest hero, Yajirobe. There are also clips of the notorious baddies Cell and Frieza.

This cinematic definitely has shades of the anime and overall provides great fan-service by featuring distinct elements of the beloved anime and manga.

If gamers are looking to pre-order Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the YouTube trailer ends with a pre-order promotion. If one pre-orders the game, they will receive in-game bonus content.

The content includes the sub-quest “A Competitive Party with Friends,” which has something to do with Goku and his allies once he makes his grand return to Earth after the Namek saga. It also features early access to Bonyu’s training, who is a new character designed by Dragon Ball’s creator Akira Toriyama, and one cooking item which will increase the player’s attack and health points.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is due to come on January 17th, 2020. The game has generated mass amounts of hype for Dragon Ball Z fans across the world as previews of content have been releasing regularly, like gameplay from the famous first fight between Goku and Vegeta.

The game will be coming out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and will feature the re-creation of the Dragon Ball Z storyline, following the game’s main protagonist, Goku, also known as his Saiyan name Kakarot.
