Put simply, if you are a Trails fan, this is huge. It is now off the record since earlier today, NIS America announced The Legend of Heroes: #TrailsbeyondtheHorizon for Fall 2025 release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC! The fans can’t contain their excitement at the prospect of Trails Beyond the Horizon being available on many platforms. The wait is now for the adventure to come beyond the edge of the horizon! I mean, that’s what the tweet said, right? This was one of the announcements people have been waiting for.

On the real though. NISA just came out and *said* *Trails Beyond the Horizon* is coming WESTERN next fall. Like, WHAT?! That’s *Kai no Kiseki* in Japan, and they thought we’d wait till like, 2026. But nope! Aah, dope much, 2025. This here is just peak hype for JRPG heads. But the replies
 OMFG.

NIS America said it with the announcement tweet, and the comments are FLAMES.

The first comment from @JohnCritton brings up the real questions: “@NISAmerica đŸ€© When can we preorder the Limited Edition?” –A must-have for sure! Apparently, everyone knows Limited Editions give you +5 to gamer cred, LOL!

There’s also @justfilthygamin saying, “I cannot wait!! One of my favorite series!! I look forward to every Legend of Heroes game.” Now THAT is the type of dedication we LIVE for, you know? Loyalty is *the* key!

But *the* real treasure is from @EliskorSakura: “@NISAmerica WE’RE FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO JAPAN WE ARE *FINALLY* CAUGHT UP TO JAPAN THE BEST TIMELINE ALSO KEVIN MOTHERHECKING GRAHAAAAAAAAAAAMMMM” — Now that’s mood, tbh. It’s a huge deal for Trails fans to catch up with Japan, and returning Kevin is huge.

Preorder excitement, don’t even get me started. “Already pre-ordered the Limited Edition; that was quick,” says @VX_136. And these fans are FAST! Gotta secure that copy before it’s gone!

“Thought longer time will be needed for Localization,” the comment-verse goes, and now @Kuronosect joins in: @NISAmerica Wow they cooking fast with the localization like, yeah NISA is speedrunning the translation process these days. Mad respect.

Wait! @journeytoazure has the million-dollar question: “@NISAmerica SWITCH 2 AS WELL RIGHT?!”– Everyone wonders if this would be a launch title for the new Nintendo console, big if true! That’s what they want to believe.

Then @penguindayzero goes, “@NISAmerica Y’all do a great job of getting all the DLC, so I hope that continues! And, please, give us a solid localization and keep putting it on GOG. Very disappointed that Trails in the Sky won’t be on there.” — Yep, quality localizations are KEY. No one wants a wonky translation ruining the experience, right? And of course, should be on GOG for all the DRM-free goodness.

So I guess the majority of the confusion lies in deciding where to start in the Trails series; as @HuminoidTyphoon asked, “@NISAmerica Can I play daybreak and just go in from there? I will get sky when the remaster comes out and go through the whole series after but I really wanna try these lol.” Where to start–that’s the question.

Basically, everyone is losing their minds in the best way possible. Hype levels are OVER 9000! Trails fans, after all, are eating GOOD in 2025.

Fall 2025 can’t come soon enough-my only fear is that I won’t get the chance to play anytime soon, you know?
