The debut trailer for Nahida has finally offered players a glimpse into her tragic backstory. Genshin Impact's latest teaser, "Nahida: Happy Birthday," follows the new Dendro Archon through the first few chapters of Sumeru's Archon Quest. In the promotional material, we hear Nahida tell the same story multiple times, switching between the original "Knight of Flowers" and the Traveler, about how she met and hosted the Sabzerus Festival. The trailer's second half, however, takes a more sinister turn, reflecting the tale of Version 3.1, in which the Sages capture and imprison Nahida. Aside from the overt references to Versions 3.0 and 3.1, Nahida's trailer includes several other subtle components of the character's past. For example, the trailer's focus on a birthday celebration and Nahida's first encounter with the Knight of Flowers both allude to her recent birth as the Dendro Archon following the death of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.
