It is time to tighten those gaming belts-The Last of Us Part II Remastered is brutal, and emotional devastation walks into your rig. A sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed (and super controversial) games by Naughty Dog, it has now made its way onto Steam and Epic Games Store with unlocked framerates for the beefier setups.

What gives? If perchance you happen to have a monitor that might put it to the test, simply slicing through Seattle’s post-apocalyptic hellscape would be one silky affair. Console restrictions-no more! This is it: the chance to see Ellie wreak vengeance in buttery, high-FPS goodness.

But come on, let’s be honest. The real question is not can you run it-should you? The Last of Us Part II was one of the most technically impressive games on the PS4 (and later, of course, remastered for the PS5), but now PC players get to see just how far Naughty Dog has gone in Yo Boy’s opinion towards the encouragement of destruction of anything and everything in their vision: sharper texture, reduced loading time, and frame rates capable of frying your eyeballs if the computer can keep up.

What is funny is…the replies on that announcement are…unnaturally quiet. Too quiet. Normally for a release like this, you’d have fans screaming into the void.

But here, the replies for the tweet look rather lifeless. Maybe everyone’s too busy installing? Or maybe the conversations about the game were so aggressive back in 2020 that nobody wants to talk about it anymore? Who knows.

The one thing we know is, if you missed out on the chaos the first time around (or just want to relive the trauma with better graphics), this is your chance. Just don’t blame us when you go on another emotional roller-coaster.

And hey, drop a comment if you are some lucky dude with an absolute maxed-out rig for this game. Let us know if this upgrade paid off or if you’re here for the memes. Either way, Seattle is waiting.
