Alright, strap in with your space cowboys and cowgirls! The Expanse: Osiris Reborn has just dropped some spicy character customization details, and the gamer community is really losing it. The captain of the crew can be anything you want to create: male, female, or however you want to style him/her/them. You could even customize the captain to look exactly like the default one, or be as different as you could imagine.
Hold up. You gotta take two companions, Zafar and Michael, and judging from the response, people are going full simp for Michael. A player even said they wouldn’t have bothered with any kind of customization option if the default one were as hot as Michael. Priorities, I say!
The thousand customizations brought extreme demands, from outright impossible questions. Will Portuguese subtitles be available? (Players from Brazil are dying to know!) Can you select pronouns independently from your body type? (An ever heated debate). The big one: Can I customize my ship and fight? C’mon, if you’re not flying trebuchets across the stars, then what are you really doing?
Then Cyberpunk 2077 was thrown in, one player even openly warned the devs: *Don’t pull a Cyberpunk.* Ouch. That’s pretty much the ultimate curse in the gaming community now. But hey, at least they’re counting on a smooth launch because of that, right?
Some gamers are already planning their captains. An unnamed gamer is going to be recreating Amos exactly as he appears in the show, ready to throw down on sight. One is happy about the armor designs (which is justifiable; they are really cool designs). Somebody else is just looking forward to annoying the Beltalowda with fake African accents. Stay awesome, gamers.
The game will come for PC, PS, and Xbox. While we don’t know the official release date just yet, gamers are begging for an announcement. One Italian gamer is awaiting the release so badly that he is almost shaking. I am with him on that.
So, yeah, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is going to be a wild one. Custom captains. Hot companions. Hopefully no disasters on a Cyberpunk-level. Now we wait for a lot more information-metaphorically laying for a slap or two on the captain without his helmet. Are you going to leave us hanging, devs?
