Massive Entertainment cracked news on the new season in Division 2, and the season is The Pact. Unfortunately, it seems more grave matters are once again flourishing in Washington, DC. The start date for the season was initially planned for September 9th (so very soon already); but greatness carries a harsh irony amalgamating three largest enemy factions-Truesons, Hyenas, and Outcasts-on one side. Yes, some kind of alliance is brewing, and the enemy is doing something big… Very, very bad for us, the agents.

According to another statement, Soare is about to begin: from The Division Game official account, a “Gear up” call is issued as there’s little time to lose. One could even say an understatement, given the nature of these factions when apart. When they join hands? Sheesh. There goes chaos.

But of course, the real drama lies in the responses. Player reactions ranged all over the place. Some were crushingly hyped, with Wayne Brewer himself chiming the replies along, saying he’s really looking forward to this new season. And FunLovingKate joined in, stating they’ve built a tinkerer just for this season. Very impressive!

And then there is… the other side of things. JonathanSnoddy brought up an old gripe about the gear system: “drop chance for gear sucks, the caches have no named items, and the arm patch or skin considered bonus item is kind of meh.” Fair enough. Grinding for loot blows sometimes. We have all been there.

Many more are also calling for quality-of-life improvements. KingArthurCole simply wonders if cross-progression will even ever happen; a huge thing for many live-service games today. Another one asks for native PS5 upgrade for the game; well, sure, would be nice, since we are firmly placed in the era of current-gen consoles. Dillon Rybicky added that PS4 and Xbox One are the old-gen now, so it’s about time to get that up.

Some Sunday drama about summer event caches is going on. Enrique Carrera replied in Spanish, basically lamenting the terrible state of summer event boxes and warning players not to throw away time on them. Though a lousy translation, you get the gist. In contrast, Wes Virginia commented that since the arrival of wasp apparel, summer caches have been RNG-cursed for 15 events now. Oh man. That’s just brutal RNG.

The usual call for Division 3 is also there. According to _jaynoir, “I’ve played this game for 6 years already, so it’s about time for 3.” And that’s true; the game has theoretically existed for seven years since 2019, so long, surely almost the time to be for. Nevertheless, in reply to the thread, Artoria Pndrgn mentioned they’ve been working on Division Trois all this time, with job listings and confirmations dating back to Fall 2023. So maybe it’s already on the way? Who really knows?

There’ll be a number of imports, too. matt500x said, “I came here because Destiny 2 sucks, and I’ll turn loyal back.” That’s high praise for Division. Artoria even said that since the Expansion of Fate, she and her girlfriend have basically dropped Destiny because the changes sounded good on paper but were so wrong, and that they’ve loved every second of Division since migrating to it.

Then we have the random fun remarks. MasterChiefX343 said that September 9th was their birthday. Should be cool. wiseguy_ocb says their backpack cat says, “Yum yum, come get some.” Charged with cuteness.

Let’s get back on the crucial part: The Pact. It almost feels like Div 1, just as Eric Ciobanu suggested – so maybe Div 1 2.0? The concept of factions coming together is old one, but it could mean new missions, new mechanics, and maybe even a new area? Someone even proposed that the DC area itself is expanded, which would just be icing on the cake.

The Pact sounds downright ominous. What have they got planned? Are they conspiring against the White House on a grand scale? Another outbreak of a virus maybe? Something bigger. But with the Hyenas involved, total chaos is what to expect. They’re a mixed bag of wonders, so good luck making sense of how this alliance will work out.

The 9th of September is Tuesday, which is the regular day for game updates. Trust me, agents, mark your calendars. Gear up, because with three factions coming together, we’re going to need every ounce of firepower we can gather-At least in farming for better loot, or just praying to RNG this time around.

God, the community has kept active after all these years. Complaining about loot and demanding upgrades notwithstanding, the players are out there, excited about new content. And, with some sources muddled about Division 3 being in the works, the franchise is alive indeed. But for now, the eye is on September 9th and what The Pact is going to spawn on D.C. streets.

So perhaps, gear up, agents. The True Sons, Hyenas, and Outcasts are joining up, and it is not exactly for tea. A fight will be gone down, and we’d need to be ready for it. See in the field, lads.
