Summer Game Fest: It’s back, baby! And this time, it’ll be at the YouTube Theater on June 6. The hype machine has started back up with Geoff Keighley, leading gamers everywhere to mark their calendars.
No details for now—ticket sales and more info will be due in May—but you know the thing is going to be full of trailers, reveals, and probably at least one of those awkward Keighley speeches.
So, what is Summer Game Fest all about? If you’ve been living under a rock (or just hate fun), it’s basically Geoff’s answer to E3-a large flashy showcase where publishers drop news, gameplay, and possibly a few surprises.
Last year, we saw Mortal Kombat 1, Alan Wake 2, and that wild Elden Ring DLC tease. What about this year? Who knows! But, with about two months left, speculations are already running wild.
Kind of weird there are no replies on the tweet yet? Usually, that is when the gaming community expresses their *opinions*-especially regarding Keighley’s events. Love ’em or hate ’em, the dude knows how to get people talking. Maybe everyone is still recovering from that Game Awards orchestra performance.
The real question this time is, will this year’s show top the most famous troll job by Hideo Kojima when he showed up pretending to be at the wrong event? Probably not. But hey, a gamer can dream.
Anyway, June 6. Set a reminder. Clear your calendar. Stock up on snacks. And pray for your Wi-Fi. This is gonna be good. Or chaos. Either way, we’ll be there live-tweeting everything cringe and hype.
Wait, was that, like, an entire article about an event we know almost nothing about? Yup. Yup, it was. Welcome to gaming news, folks. Hang on tight.
