A new Sagat guide has been released for Street Fighter 6, and people have really been going crazy about it-everybody was getting hype; some people started salting; others were wondering about tiger stance. An official Street Fighter Twitter account once again shared another YouTube tutorial on Sagat’s fireball, special move, and very famous Level 2 Super Art! The gameplay looks nice; reactions, though, are… a mess!
The guide itself is exactly what one would expect from Capcom: very neat but slick and tight with combos that will make you want to lab them forever. He’s still zoning with tiger shots, but now he can also bulldoze entry against the opponent. The video shows his filthy advancing specials in the best possible way. The Level 2 Super is basically a cinematic beatdown worthy of any opponent quitting in rage.
And thus, the situation got messy. The players of the replies split like a badly timed DP, half hyped like gblanco2002, claiming: “Can’t wait to play Sagat in legit 3 days!” Some of the others are…nd not impressed. TakamuraSelim went full-on roast mode, saying: “There is something wrong. Hard to tell really. The stance is weird. Legs are too thin.” Then Remember No Sleep bombed it, calling him an “Elden Ring troll.” Ouch.
And then comes the voice acting.FromSagatsays: “I can never get used to Japanese VA Sagat, just doesn’t have the intimidation of his English VA.” Fair enough, but have you ever heard his English growling? Dude sounds like he’s gargling gravel.
But of course, no Street Fighter announcement would ever be complete without the whole “WHERE’S [insert legacy character]” crowd. ConradoJavier4 is already begging for Season Four Sakura, while Dozman007 is missing Fei Long like it’s 2009. Then there’s BillyBo22937936’s side-eye towards Capcom: “Where’s the outfit 4 showcase?” (Capcom is probably saving that for last-minute, as usual.)
But the question everyone really wants to know with the degree of urgency is, “Is Sagat a charge character?” DimetriouSp asked all the big questions, and ClemPrime13 gave the real answer: “We do. Normal and ex.” So there you go, no charge shenanigans, just straight-up tiger violence.
The question comes from Izac, who is clearly already tired: “Sagat not even out and I been tired of looking at him already lmao.” Harsh, but hey, not everyone is a fan of the Muay Thai menace.
As Sagat is already nearing his launch, the question still arises: Will he break the meta? Or will he find himself in that mid-tier purgatory, like SFV Sagat? Either way, these reactions are golden, and the gameplay looks sick. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go practice tiger shots before I get washed online.
Yes, Sagat is coming. Throw down all your firebacks, your knees, and a ton of salt. And if you are still skeptical, just watch the guide–that Level 2 Super alone is worth all the hype.
