There is another Sabrina Carpenter package coming back, with a big celebrity appearing with said item free upon an account’s very first Web purchase. Another celebrity collaboration for the battle royale giant; however, the community response to it has been… difficult to describe.
What’s going on with this comeback? According to widely-followed Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, who posted on Twitter, the item shop will see the return of Sabrina Carpenter’s bundle with a free item for first web purchase from the Epic Games store, with ShiinaBR also kindly promoting their creator code for support, because hey, rules of being a creator. But that is really not the story behind here-the community is totally divided on it.
Several players are excited about the event. Emilymahonn just remarked, “love this for her,” with @kitsudrift echoing that Sabrina is “GOATED” in response to someone asking if she deserves a comeback. @TIMOTHYS_ENDER proclaimed joy at the coming event but mused, “kinda bummed I spent my bucks on Phaedra” just before the drop. FOMO is very much real here!
Reverse side of the coin: let me jump in with the other one. @M_GICM_N_in, of course, went off on her, calling Sabrina “a bad singer” with “no voice,” “an ugly woman,” and wondering, basically, how in the world did she end up famous? They finished with “I don’t won’t see her in Fortnite!” Well, okay then. Meanwhile, @celesteheron1 made even heavier allegations and said Sabrina is “a predator,” sharing the “evidence” of such inappropriate behaviors.
But that isn’t the only thing amiss in the item shop. Some players say that while Sabrina has returned, the “Bed Chem” emote has not. Incensed, @UndyingCurse_ commented, “smh.” And @nol_dur simply and directly asked, “Bed Chem in there or no?” So apparently, for some folks, the emote matters even more than the skin.
Great opportunity to request some OTHER celebrities. @InfamysVirtue insisted, “Don’t care where is Doja,” whereas @Alecitoxdd pondered the whereabouts of The Kid Laroi. @FntBRS commented, “There are so many singers who haven’t returned yet: Kid Laroi, Ariana Grande, for example. But they bring those who spent months in the brick store.” Seems some players are not happy about Epic’s choices with rotations.
Meanwhile, @Draconxc7 would explain that “Prismatic glider is also back after 700+ days” – because Sabrina’s Originals isn’t the only comeback. And @LadyGagaFan04 might have found the most colorful description of the current item shop yet: a “Toilet of a Item shop,” accusing Epic of lying about new Halloween items–right there on Twitter. Drama for days in this game!
Of course, some are grateful about saving some V-Bucks. @auzhiw736 rejoiced, “My vbucks are saved🙏🙏,” and @TheLivvEra claimed, “Already had her day 1😪” – gotta love that day one flex.
Then random requests start pouring in. @AnthonyLipsco15 floods Twitter with, “Demon slayer be added soon please @Fortnite,” whereas @OGBlackWidowFan somehow injected politics with “We want Obama.” Of course.
This pretty much shows how the Fortnite community could be very divided on celebrity collaborations. Some folks are totally into it and ready to drop their hard-earned V-Bucks on pop star cosmetics. Others would rather see other artists slam the door-lending that gate open a little further-or maybe a totally worthy alternative. Then there are those who just want their favorite emotes back, regardless of the sexy labels plastered on them.
In the end, Sabrina Carpenter’s return to Fortnite becomes one more in-kind interface of Epic Games between pop culture and gaming. Whether you’re a fan of the songs or think she never had to be in the game to begin with, she’s here now, and the players have been talking about it. More time to say thanks goes to those who were holding out for the return of said bundle with this free item on making their first purchase through the web. For the rest of the populace… well, there’ll always be tomorrow’s item shop reset. Maybe that’ll be when we’ll get our hands on the Bed Chem emote. Or maybe Obama. Whatever, you never know anymore with Fortnite.
Of course, some players are also discussing other platforms like PlayStation and Xbox in their gaming conversations.
