So, Rockstar Games releases this Red Dead Online tweet that goes: “Go fetch some stuff for cool bonuses.” Red Dead Online players can also look forward to 2X RDO$, Role XP, and XP for delivering completed Collector Sets to Madam Nazar, as well as 3X Role XP for digging up individual collectibles. If you’re still active in the game, it’s a small gift.
But the responses… THE RESPONSES. People seem to have erased Red Dead Online from their minds. It’s all GTA 6 this, GTA 6 that. The very first response doesn’t even bother with the collector bonus — it’s “@RockstarGames An updated version would be nice. You know, 60fps” from Old_Timer_Gamer. And he’s being one of the polite ones, for what it’s worth.
Then there’s Courtney with “can you start rolling out the full outlaw passes instead of just three items, bro? please, it’s so annoying” and then literally a few minutes after she’s “it’s not even in the game what😭 i’ve been waiting for hours.” So… is the bonus even working? People are complaining it’s not showing up. izzy⸆⸉ 🖤🥀 flat out says reread “@RockstarGames why are you lying,” and then “SO WHERE IS IT,” so the drama is real.
From there, it only gets worse. It starts with TJ saying “This will NOT #SaveRedDeadOnline!” which… stings a bit. But, you know, it’s factual? Like, everyone knows RDO hasn’t gotten proper updates in a while. Then Liberty Bark comes with, “The cheating in this game is ridiculous. New players just get raped,” with a crying emoji. That’s just…not good.
But wait, it gets worse. Voided__Reality starts this rant: “We do not care about this useless bullshit until you deliver what we have asked for the last five years straight….” with a table flip gif. The frustration is PALPABLE.
Then… it happens. The GTA 6 comments start flooding in. “I’m hunting down gta 6” by SiCKO. “Hyped for GTA 6 🙌 #GTAVI MAY 26 2026 😎‼️ 🔥” from Yung Hurricane. “Trailer 3 when ??” from Knight. “less than 9 months before the launch and no more info and no Pre order… I see delay incoming” from Jhonatan Orlando.
It’s like Rockstar tried to check in on Red Dead Online, and the community just screamed, “NOPE. GTA 6 NOW.” Then there’s this one dude, bobbyblaze_, who’s saying, “we want UNDEAD NIGHTMARE 2 and a new MIDNIGHT CLUB game set in Japan,” which… okay, that’s different but still nothing about the collector bonus.
The only folks oddly interested are the few responding to TEDDY 🐻, who’s oddly excited about it. A lonely soul 🥀 says “On my way 🤠” cowboy emoji and MeraOfWeb3 🧊 “I sure ammmmm” with a fire emoji. So there ARE players in RDO, huh?
The general feeling seems to be… Rockstar, nobody cares about your double XP. We want GTA 6 information, next-gen patches, cheating fixes, and legitimate new content (not another recycled bonus event).
For me, Red Dead Online’s a letdown, Rockstar seemed to want to build something amazing with the world and the gameplay, but they chose to divert their focus to GTA Online and now GTA 6. It’s clear the direction isn’t what the player base wants. The collector bonus would’ve been big news a few years ago, now it’s “meh,” background noise until the next GTA 6 trailer hits.
Speaking of which, when is the next trailer? Rockstar is quiet, the buzz is growing, but so is the anxiety. Delays are already feared. The May 2026 date feels terribly far away but also… doesn’t. Time is weird.
Anyway, if you’re in RDO, double money and triple XP are waiting for you — get on it! — but most certainly judging from the replies, the player base isn’t there anymore. Or at least, a fair few are pretending to have moved on waiting for the GTA 6 drop from Rockstar.
Wait, what was I talking about? Oh yeah. Collector sets. Madam Nazar. Yeah. Do it, I guess. Or don’t. I get the feeling Rockstar’s just “doing” RDO updates. The buzz is for what’s coming next. GTA 6. Nothing but GTA 6.
The divide between what Rockstar wants to talk about and what the users want is staggering. It’s like there’s a language barrier. One side offers “here’s bonuses for our old game” and the other side shouts “WE DON’T CARE SHOW US THE NEW GAME.” Like, yeah, it’s understandable. RDO has had little to no love for years, and now the players want the opposite of what they have. Something, “big.” Something, “like… well you.”
So, here. Red Dead Online gets another bonus event that half the players can’t even access properly, and everyone uses it as an excuse to beg for GTA 6 news. The cycle continues. At this pace, the next time Rockstar tweets, the replies will be a thousand “GTA 6 WHEN” repeats. Honestly, can you blame them?
