Red Dead Online is being updated for what feels like the millionth time, and this update carries serious incentives for player engagement. The newest event on the block “Call to Arms” has gamers defending frontier outposts with double RDO$ and XP bonuses while all weapon prices see an outrageous 50% discount. And after pounding through five rugged waves? The very PC that survived will be slimmed down with the Frontiersman Pants and Belt—definitely some worthy compensation for a day in the Wild West.
Some players are ecstatic about the grind, but others… well, let’s just say that the feelings given off by Rockstar Games‘ tweet range anywhere from buzzing excitement to utter frustration; a spontaneous call for updates to GTA 6 even piles onto this. “Who wants this???” another user asks, while another cries, “This will NOT #SaveRedDeadOnline!” Ouch.
Then the ones who went off into the sunset were there in the comment section begging Rockstar for Turkish and Arabic subtitles for GTA 6. “Turkish subtitles please for GTA 6❤️🙏,” one begged. Another added, “We want Turkish language support for GTA VI 🇹🇷.” I guess it just isn’t the Wild West anymore.
Right then and there, a few hopefuls remain for a next-gen Red Dead Redemption 2 update. “Rockstar Please release next gen update of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Ps5” was a tweet that I came across. And really? Fair. The game is a masterpiece that deserves to get such an update.
And then, the real star of the replies left a link to the “Vehicle God mode glitch” and stated, “for those whom need to grief and troll.” Classic.
So, at the end of the day, it is events like these that keep Red Dead Online around, even if the fanbase is divided into two halves: half that still loves it and half that desires something new. Either on double cash or shortly on the waiting list to become hyped—one thing is unmistakably clear: player satisfaction does not exist. But the chops at the very least we got.
