A gigantic rundown of PlayStation Studios and exclusive game releases has been thrown in all the way up to 2030, leaving gamers… confused? Hype? Skeptical? Well, a mixture of everything honestly. @Zuby_Tech’s tweet lays down a roadmap from which Nioh 3 gets its entry date in 2026 and a Naughty Dog single-player game comes along in 2029, followed by Gran Turismo 8 in 2030. Basically, we are talking about games that might not even exist while some middle school kids of today will already be in college. These are wild times.
The 2026 predictions are next level stacked: Nioh 3, Marvel’s Wolverine, Horizon multiplayer, and something called Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls (which sounds either brilliant or terrible lies in between). But here comes the mess. Multiple replies pointed out that Nioh 3 wasn’t really a PlayStation Studios game. @DevilGonzalez inquired, “Is Nioh 3 a PlayStation Studios game? SIE isn’t publishing it.” And @ImaRealFerret came in with, “But Nioh 3 isn’t exclusive or published by Sony/PlayStation.” So… maybe take that one with a grain of salt.
The Marvel’s Wolverine prediction stirred some buzz. With Insomniac’s Spider-Man to specimen’s in Wolverines hands, everyone is hyped, but 2026 feels like an eternity. At the same time, Horizon multiplayer showing up in 2026/2027 made some sense since Guerrilla kept teasing it. But @KrisWarlock had strong feelings about another title: “Intergalactic being pushed to 2028 would be fucking criminal. Mainly cause they need to stop announcing shit so early.” Preach.
Now, onto those long-term projects: a God of War sequel in ’29? Spider-Man 3 that same year? Naughty Dog’s enigmatic new single-player game also arriving in 2029? That is…”ambitious”. @Haki987 asked the real question: “Any news on the Naughty Dog 2029 game? (Director, genre, etc)” but so far, crickets. And @Jack16_reeves raised a valid point: “Didn’t think Naughty Dog wanted to announce games so far out anymore.” If anything, post-The Last of Us Online being scrapped, they’re probably playing this one tighter.”
The replies range between hype and skepticism. @DelwynSJ comments, “If that list release is true.. The first party in 2026 is shaping up nicely, could be the best ever! 👀🔥” while @Tactica1_Gamer replied with skepticism: “Where are you getting these release years from? Anything official? This from a credible journalist? Or are you just making shit up.” Fair points. @Nathan18167458 clears it up: “They’re predictions,” which, duh. But based on what? That’s the real mystery.
One thing’s for sure, PlayStation’s line-up is looking stacked over these next five years either way. Wolverine, Horizon, and whatever Naughty Dog is cooking have PS5 owners salivating. Just maybe don’t mark your calendar for a 2030 Gran Turismo 8 version just yet.
