May lineup announced for PlayStation Plus, with reactions going off the roof. The catalog has offerings like Sand Land, Soul Hackers 2, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted – Full Time Edition, and Battlefield V, among others. So, some fans are actually hyped; others, though, are not exactly celebrating with confetti.

Here comes Sand Land. Based on the manga by Akira Toriyama (yes, the Dragon Ball man), this open-world adventure features players wandering the desert wasteland in search of water. Firebreather451 is sold, tweeting, “Definitely picking up Sandland. Damn we desperately need a Chrono Trigger remake with these graphics @SquareEnix.” Endymion somewhat agreed: “Sandland was a fun game, a little simple but I enjoyed it. I got the platinum last year.” So, if you like Toriyama-style art mixed with post-apocalyptic vibes, this might be your game.

Next on the list comes Soul Hackers 2, the freshest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off series. Atlus style is fairly straightforward: demons, slick cyberpunk aesthetics, and traditional turn-based combat. But, uh, some people are just not feeling it. Some of the reactions went downright nasty; one user just said, “Honestly anyone who pays for extra deserves this. With the amount they charge people, PS Plus should be at Game Pass level by now.” That is a lot of disdain in one comment.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted – Full Time Edition will also be featured on the list. Have you ever wanted to be scared straight while fixing animatronics? Now’s your chance. Judging by the comments, though, few really care. Levizo4 commented: “Battlefield 5 really!? Who plays Battlefield 5 these days?” That is indeed a valid question; if you missed release, now is your time.

Now, on the note of Battlefield 5, yes, it is here as well-a game that evolved to be either very good or very bad with time. But non-arrival has started some fans giving a side-eye to Sony. “You raised my prices to give us slop,” tweeted FromValhallaX. Another user said, SteveCav27uk, poked fun at Xbox: “They are rubbish compared to what Xbox Game Pass gets, Xbox Game Pass is even getting the new Doom game on Friday.” The console wars are never going to die, huh?

But there are some positives. RealTurniplord points out that the STALKER trilogy upgrades to PS5 were somewhat well received. UmmItsMJ wistfully added: “Half of these are pretty solid.” So maybe not the worst ever? Or maybe it is; depends on who you ask.

The real kicker? The amount of salt that poured down from the replies. Ranging from “pure trash” to “complete joke of a month,” PlayStation fans are not giving much room for forgiveness. Fabio named Sony “greedy corpo” now that’s a new one. Meanwhile, Mulanberg unleashed a Portuguese bomb on the situation: “vocês só podem estar de sacanagem” [loosely translated: “You’ve gotta be kidding me”]. Mood.

Depending on what you like, you’re either thinking this lineup is the greatest thing since sliced bread or the world’s worst. Either way, for anyone who’s wanted to get into Sand Land or finally check out Soul Hackers 2, happy gaming. If you wanted a biggie, well… there’s always next month. Or, you know, Game Pass. Just saying.
