Some of those moments, very few, flashed by with the speed of lightning and hence are called diamonds by the community-ref:the new Dokiwatch skins. The official Overwatch Twitter account gave out a hype message asking everyone to share pictures of their favorite skins and fandom art, and the reply section did not disappoint. Crochet plushies and jaw-dropping digital art flooded the reply section! The artistic level is just insane.

Dokiwatch? The newest in-game event. It arrives in Overwatch 2 straight from the shining world of magical girls and gives you sparkly pastel skins, much to the chagrin of some and to the unabashed passion of others out there. And Juno’s Mythic skin? I think the entire community agrees that so far, it stands as the fan favorite! One player crocheted Juno along with her little shark buddies: Deimos and Phobos-lord-waiting-for-season-to-drop-level-of-serious-commitment.

Not everyone is in love with it, though. Some fan cries about the fact that Blizzard locked up basically all of the best skins behind the battle pass, putting only one behind a free octagon, while others proceeded with roasting the designs—one user couldn’t help but keep noticing that one of the outfits looked like “grandma shorts.” Ouch.

And the fan art? Oh my! Artists flooded the reply section with exquisite illustrations of Juno, Kiriko, and D.Va’s Nocturna skin, giving one more testimony to the obscene talents within the Overwatch community. One artist brought all Dokiwatch characters together as the uber magical girl squad, and it is chef’s kiss perfection.

Conversely, those really heartwarming Overwatch discussion appearances always tend to beget a sprinkle of drama. A few few players begged the chance to rant about issues such as the PVS content cancellation or lack of multilingual voicelines. One reply went deep with: “Blizzard deserves to be nuked.” Harsh.

Dated lovers till the pass-ons, Dokiwatch made the talk. If you are here for the sparkly aesthetics or just to bash that battle pass FOMO, one thing is clear: Overwatch knows the beat on community engagement. We’ll secretly excuse ourselves to stare at Juno’s Mythic skin for the 50th time today.

How about you? Are you running with that magical-girl crowd, or are you feeling Dokiwatch is not the one? In any case, the creativity (and chaos) in the replies is something else. More fan art, please. Blizzard is watching.
