Zitat for football fans, Nintendo has dropped the bomb: Madden for the Switch 2 is coming, with all the imaging, and much more. Expect mayhem with new player traits and the latest in AI-based gameplay in this newest installment of NFL through the ages.
What makes it so special? Well, for starters, it really isn’t your dad’s Madden. This new machine learning system is assumed to lend more realistic player behavior and coaching strategies; i.e., tougher AI opponents, adaptive play-calling, and…maybe just maybe…far fewer broken tackles that would make you question the very physics of the game.
Now this one is already drawing fire from the player base; some gamers are excited, others are not. @SpecsProd one of the gamers outright insulted the performance: “Holding out on this until y’all at least get a performance mode. Best Madden in years and it runs like 💩.”
Then there was the EA Sports defense since, frankly, EA Sports hasn’t had that good name for some time now. @Lokeefe9 showed no pity: “Don’t support EA. Support good games.” Conversely, @LPNintendoITA snarked, “It’s EA, what did you expect?”
Storage is coming back again as an issue. Now, with the presumed cartridge size of the Switch 2 (65GB max), some have voiced concerns regarding the size constraints of the bigger games. @MHwerewolf goes on to say, “The problem is not only with space, but some games might not even get a physical release at all.” Then @elmasheavier89 adds, “Smaller, so the cost will be cheaper for third-party devs.”
And then, of course, there has to be that one comment from the Zelda fans. @NewhouseEstates gives, “Been waitin’ years, but what I’d really like is a new Zelda game- but we’ll be waitin’ much longer for that lol.” Priorities.
What is only certain from the mixed reactions is that Madden on Switch 2 is going to happen and go for some deep tech upgrades. Whether this will live up to the hype or will be a smooth run is still left open for discussion. But hey, at least it’s not another Metroid delay—looking at you @JPxstar.
So, are you ready to knock some heads on the virtual gridiron? The game is out, but maybe keep your expectations just a little bit realistic—or just get yourself a copy of Mario Kart.
