A lot of interesting details have surfaced about Cyberpunk 2077 as of late. It’s close to a year away, and yet CD Projekt Red have pumped out announcement after announcement. They certainly deserve credit for promoting the game and building gamer interest thus far. They also deserve praise for creating such a unique-looking RPG.
Just recently, a couple of screenshots were released showcasing a lot of interesting details. Let’s start off with the screenshots of the cars. As you can imagine, they’re very futuristic. The first yellow model has both modern and classic muscle car elements.
The developers did a nice job at keeping the aggressive body that sports cars are known for, but upgrading the aesthetics with refined lines. This could possibly be one of the main vehicles you drive to get around from destination to destination. If it is, then the aspect of driving itself could be really fun. It’s like they shoved a racing game inside this massive, futuristic world for you to blaze the streets of Night City.
The first car isn’t the only interesting detail in the screenshot. It’s surrounded by some sort of slums, where the unfortunate have gathered to form camps. These details just show the realistic elements that Cyberpunk 2077 is going for. With the inclusion of these slums, it only makes sense that you’ll get to cruise through some affluent areas.
The second car is very reminiscent of today’s version of the Dodge Challenger. It has a longer body and an aggressive profile. It looks fast. This car’s design isn’t surprising to see considering just how popular the Challenger is today.
Next, we get a few shots of the different environments you’ll be interacting with. They have a lot of personality and their open design is a good sign. It should mean plenty of nooks and crannies to discover throughout your created player’s journey. Gamers have always wanted such an open design.
We’ve seen promise with Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5. Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be trumping their sheer openness, which is insane to even fathom. Finally, a little of the combat is featured. There is just one word to describe these screenshots: Graphic. Evidently, CD Projekt Red isn’t afraid to push the envelope in the violence department.
All of these screenshots are just reaffirming many gamers’ beliefs that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be the game of the year; maybe even game of the decade.
