And Twitter indeed buzzes with discussions from the most recent tweet; it even posted the ultimate question: ‘Start Bench Cut ✂️,’ beside a photo showing some of the most thrilling boss floor generals in the league.
The whole thing has been raised to quite an extremity by posting, comparing ultra elitist point guards; hot finally- replies are thus coming in more like the initial stage of very high-speed break.
So, what is really up? The original tweet traditionally played the “start, bench, cut” game with hoops heads, then left them with impossible ones to choose between some of the slickest playmakers in the game. No names are mentioned by the text, though the molasses pot is stirred by the attached media (which we can’t embed here, sorry!).
Relative fans can fight and fill the replies with things justifying their choices in saying like, “Start Steph, bench CP3, cut Trae, EASY,” or perhaps, “Y’all sleeping on Haliburton!!” But strangely enough, these people go unnoticed. Most likely they are occupied with nostalgia from the ankle-breakers so much that they can’t write.
The choices could have been so terribly made that the collective internet status remained frozen like a defender on a shamgod.
The sound in silence speaks louder. Activities such as these in fact usually cause division among NBA Twitters faster than a Westbrook break can be. Where is it? The frenzy? The blind loyalty? The “my grandma could cook better than this take” energy had no space here.
Most likely these usual suspects are in the graphic: Curry, Luka, SGA, Jalen Brunson, with maybe even a wild card in the mix, but let’s be real. But still, no matter how the argument runs, someone is getting disrespected.
Now we shall wait for the flood of replies. In the meantime, here is our totally unbiased, absolutely correct answer: Start Magic Johnson (hey, the tweet didn’t say it had to include active players), bench Stockton, and cut whoever your least favorite point guard is. Fight us.
