Since NBA 2K26 has released its top 10 shot blockers, the streets are buzzing with crashing sounds. The official NBA 2K Twitter account did tweet the rankings with a description, “Not in their house š«,” which was met with a ton of confusion, memes, as well as disbelief from players. Where is Anthony Davis? Giannis? Myles Turner? Wild choices are roasted by the community.
And the biggest slap? No Anthony Davis, a guy who almost single-handedly blocks everything except Nikola Jokic. The gamers were quick to call this out, with one tweeting, “AD literally swats everything Thatās not Jokic. Should be 99.” Another one said, “No seriously these top 10ās have been terrible.” And honestly? They are not wrong. The glaring absence of AD while Jay Huff (who??) and Robert Williams III appear on the list is quite baffling.
Speaking of Jay Huff, what exactly is Jay Huff? A multitude of replies here asked this, one player joking, “Genuinely donāt know who Jay Huff is.” Several others pointed out the absence of illustrious shot blockers, Brook Lopez and Myles Turner. “No Brook or Myles is nasty work,” one player stated, and yes it really is.
Then comes the Evan Mobley debate. The young defensive anchor for the Cavaliers is another glaring omission with fans arguing that his presence on defense should have earned him a spot. “No Mobley is wild š I got a feeling he gone wake a lot of mfs up this season,” stated one player, and it’s hard to go against that given how dominant Mobley has been on defense.
Now, it might even be justified to keep them out since Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama have been included. Given their monstrous length and defensive potential, that does make sense. But even then, the players are arguing over rankingsāespecially why Chet was placed ahead of Donovan Clingan. From there, the replies are filled up with these argumentsāsome defending the list (“This list is perfect what would you change”) and some roasting it (“Yall donāt know ball no AD šššš¤š¤š¤”).
The funniest part? Folks are actually doubtful about purchasing the game now. “Yeah im not getting tsšš¾,” one person tweeted; honestly, mood. Everything gets a side-eye after such a shady-rated list.
The reality of it all is that NBA 2K ratings are always tough ones. Someone will always get offended while another says their favorite player got snubbed. But this list… this is next-level chaos. Maybe 2K is trolling from here on out. Or maybe they really did need to get back to the drawing board. So, the gamers have made themselves heardāand they’re not happy.
So what happens next? More arguing and memes, and maybe, just maybe, some ratings changes by 2K. Or not. This drama is just way too fun.
