Well, this is epic. Capcom has given out some really tantalizing information about the future of the game titled #MHWilds. Grinding is nice here, I tell you. But TU1 or Title Update 1? Yes, glad; but all the real juice is not there. Packed in the May update is a Capcom collab (!!!) and beyond, and during TU2 this summer, they are bringing back a monster that has been continuously requested by the fans.

What’s the tea, right?

That is basically what this news is like-the very small appetizer, no pun intended. The real physic manifestation, the main course, is in this May update, which is supposed to include a crossover with another Capcom title (Resident Evil? Devil May Cry? Onimusha? The theories are WILD). Then, summer hits with TU2, and Capcom’s teasing the return of a fan favorite monster. Behemoth? Pukei-Pukei? A resurrected Dalamadur? The speculation is real.

Though salutes poured from everywhere.

Of course, salt had to stop by with excitement. There really are fans of Capcom sitting back on there, some dumping side-eye for Capcom for updating this “unfinished” game instead of totally finishing it. One went like: “This is not about playing other games; it is about releasing cut content as if it were new.” Oof. Others like @Dimitris_Tzk called out Capcom for holding features back like Gathering Hub just so they would be posed as “free updates” later, thus gaining good PR.

Meanwhile, the optimists hold up comments like @Sonicrida, “Really appreciate the reminders! Hyped for you to keep the game exciting!” Then there’s @MomoMallowArt having wet dreams of “Resident Evil or Onimusha collabs.”

Collab dreams & monster screams.

Capcom indeed had all minds thinking. @Taru_Nashi hopes for a DMC crossover: “Will Nero or Vergil show up?!” @b82ee328eab149f is out here clamoring for Dino Crisis (Capcom, *please*). And don’t forget about @KairuCarbuncle begging for a Monster Hunter Rise or Final Fantasy XIV crossover cause he wants it bad.

For your concern, TU’s mystery monster? As @LoaderLeigh hinted, “Behemoth 😏”; then there is fightin’ back Pukei-Pukei with @NarroKapsaiya, “Bring back my toxic king!”

QoL pleas and performance woes

Nonetheless, not all replies were hyper. @VandalHeart383 called out the unfinished attack inputs of the Hunting Horn, while @PhillyBeatzU pleaded for layered weapons. A few others went “Runs like a microwave” on performance, while support came from @LinkToThis recommending Steam Deck settings for improved performance.

So what happens next? Capcom’s in it for the long haul with Wilds, and whether you love or hate the update rollout, one thing is clear-they are not done cooking. May’s collab could be anything, and summer’s monster return is already stirring chaos.
