Capcom has revealed the event quest once more in Monster Hunter and this is the moment to farm those Armor Spheres. “Wreaking Havoc in Wyveria” puts on one of those rare timed quests where you may clash with a Tempered Guardian Fulgur Anjanath and grab Hard Armor Spheres by the bucketful. Because of the increased Defense level, at least keep some Hard Armor Spheres on hand to apply.
The event will conclude on August 19 at 4:59 PM PT (therefore August 20 at 0:59 AM GMT for the foreign hunters), so this is the perfect time to farm for anyone sitting on lots of un-upgraded gear. And this quest is a gold mine, according to players that have already left their mark on it; there are reports of more than ten Hard Armor Spheres being collected in one five-minute run. Efficiency indeed!
The prize is Nourishing Extract, which happens to be very useful in making Mega Demondrugs and Armorskins. Double victory.
Why riot? Some hunters have continued to demand Heavy Armor Sphere sources, with the complaint of only having been able to max out a couple of sets even at HR 250. Others with side-eyes for Capcom for not making the event a permanent one. Oh, and the cowboy-hat-guy-wait, no, one of those comments was asking about cowboy hats. A classic from the Monster Hunter community.
Meanwhile, Dual-Blades mains have been living their best lives ever since the weapon changes, and others are still bitter that there aren’t any Elder Dragons in Monster Hunter Wilds. Look, we get it – we want our apocalyptic god-lizards too. However, it is Fulgur Anjanath here now, showering these upgrades like Oprah.
Pro tip: Activate a Lucky Voucher prior to the start to get maximum sphere gains. And try not to get attached to your current armor builds because everything is about to get expensive with the new cap. Happy hunting!
