The “Wolves in 5 (again)! 🐺 Minnesota is headed to its second straight Western Conference Finals!” tweet was supposed to be the crowning moment of the affair. However, the replies got filled with jokes, complaints, and absolute confusion as to why Edwards’ character model in NBA 2K looked like he was about to detect a horrendous stench.
One fan, @TBlazersWRLD, summed that feeling up perfectly: “Why y’all got Edward’s always doing some weird ass face in these pics, just makes his face scan look even weirder💀.” And honestly? Fair enough. It is one thing for the screenshot to have captured Edwards mid-grimace, looking more like a confused meme than an elite NBA-player.
Others didn’t hold back anymore. @jslime22 blatantly asked, “How do you put this out with a straight face?” as @theDayhasEnd3d marveled, “With no shame.” Even @KiraAnkari uttered an insult there, calling it “a darker Westbrook,” which is an insult!
But this wasn’t just about Edwards’ rather unfortunate digital counterpart. Some also had to air their various complaints about NBA 2K in general. @crypto2keys went off with a rant, calling this “the WORST NBA 2K I have ever seen” after playing it for 15-20 years. Biggest gripe? The one limiting you to play with the same team only once every five games in online head-to-head mode. “Whoever came up with that should be sent back to the mail room,” he added. Brutal.
