This clip off Twitter shows this one guy going absolutely berserk in Marvel Rival’s voice chat trying to stay alive??? I mean, full-on moans, yells, tears, and everything. In the video, we see this Magik player put in some sick reverse jumps while their teammate is just enjoying a religious experience in the background.
The replies, however, are LEGENDARY. Pearl (@Pescamilla7) straight-up calls out the plays with, “if you try this shit in plat or above you will get deleted before finishing your first spin slash”-which, fair. But then R2RØ (@sorzarn) comes back with, “Ranks don’t matter this season, it’s so inflated,” which now has me envisioning heavenly players just splat right into a wall mid-combo.
But that has ultimately led to many people asking the real, “Why does my Magik not do this?” -feel ya, Sysunn (@sythewitch). MOOD.
The clip shows Magik doing some serious Naruto-level parkour over the map while tossing out demon summons and poor Magneto was just getting violated in the corner. SeaStanky (@SeaStanky) put it nicely, saying, “That poor magneto getting clawed to death by that lil demon she threw out.”
And on another note, ElTioTotis (@ElTioTotis) said “And niggas yap at me when i ban Magik”-bro, I FELT that in my SOUL.
Funniest part: one person (@moroku75) just asks, “Yo. WTH is this caption?” about the original tweet that just says,” I was moaning uncontrollably in VC trying to stay alive”- like, my dude, WE ALL HAVE QUESTIONS. Cardboard Box (@Sendmeboxes) suggests that moaner is “Probably British,” which… doesn’t really clarify anything but feeds into the chaos.
Kudos to Aldo (@ZheksOne) for tasting the map while snickers (@snickers0877) spills the news that this was actually quick play meaning… all of it makes SO much sense. Nothing like this happens in ranked; we are all too busy malding about meta picks.
Tsujin-Yaziru (@TYaziru) just gave them the most savage comparison of them all: “This art of reverse jumping would surely bring a smile to Madara’s face,” with a Naruto gif, and honestly? It was pretty perfect. No notes.
Basically, Marvel Rivals are trading some of the most chaotic gaming moments since no limits in Overwatch 1. This combination of unreal plays and untethered voice chat along with everyone dragging each other across the validity of ranks on Twitter will guarantee that this game’s community is well on the way to legendary status.
Oh, and anyone who finds out how to really pull this with Magik instead of smashing into walls, hit me up. Asking for a friend.
