Thor ruefully lies and Hawkeye has skins that just popped-the greatest flex-ever. Internet warriors have reduced spirit from hype to rage. In fact, soon these skins will drop Thor, Lord of Asgard and Ronin Hawkeye, on April 3, 7 PM, PDT. Break time just before the whole fandom war transforms into something completely different.

I mean, FIRST OF ALL, THE LOOK. Thor “Lord of Asgard” skin, which was earlier sort of treaf-worded by fans as “Rune King,” is just up there: gold armor, glowing runes, ultimate-I-will-end-you look. And the Ronin dress-up for Hawkeye? Chef’s kiss. But now we come to the fun part.

Fans are completely angry about the name change. “Why not just call it Rune King? Sounds way better than Lord of Asgard?” @MarvelRivals huffed one user. Another said, “Felt like I just saw MF DOOM,” which… I mean, fair.

Meanwhile, other fans were just shouting out for their mains: “GIVE US EMMA FCK THESE MEN” and “GROOT SKIN PLEASE” flooded the replies. Hello, priorities, people.

But the REAL drama? Well, just Spider-Man. “Nerf Spider-Man or S2 is ruined! He is in every QP match and constantly banned in high ranks now,” the web-slinger said. The beloved lobbies of theirs are being destroyed by the spider; the community’s patience is thinner than Ant-Man’s chances vs. Thanos.

And this just transports us to the shop debate. Some are ready to throw wallets: “Already spent money on Thor. Just gotta wait until he’s in the shop.” Others are skeptical: “Are these going to be buyable using the costume coin?” (And, as I said before, deafening silence from Marvel Rivals).

Also, we cannot all forget the fucked-up user of Hawkeye: “@ Marvel Rvalis but I’m so bad at Hawkeye”-same, my brother. Same.

And those queue times? “@MarvelRivals why the fuck am i waiting 30+ mins for a comp game”-woah. Just probably all that Twitter arguing has kept everyone away from actually playing.

So yes. New skins=lit. Meltown in the community=more lit. Are you going to get these, or are you too nail-biting for nerfs and Emma Frost DLC? Either way, April 3 is going to be…spicy.
