A rare opportunity in Fortnite! So while the Marvel Rivals Doom and Galacta Staff are back in the item shop, fingers are crossed that whichever way you look at it, the entire ambience is crazy (some are freaking out from excitement and others from sheer frustration). The always-believable Fortnite leaker and content creator ShiinaBR lit up a flame on Twitter as the announcement went out. There was a link to grab the skins, and for a little cheeky promo code to support ShiinaBR (because who wouldn’t?).
Who would want to miss out on any other noble chance of banking on a pretty skin? This is DOOM. This big bad Marvel villain has been missing for so long and has swaggered into the item shop as if he owns it. And the Galacta Staff? That’s just the cherry on top of this crazy sundae. Players have been begging for more content with Marvel Rivals, and now, Epic Games has answered… sort of.
Way too many moments! Some gamers are amped about it; take Soulbound_TV for example, “DOOM said ‘miss me?’ and Galacta brought the receipts 💅.” Then, the others are side-eyeing it, like ZeroMinusOne, who said, “still wild to me they made a skin of a character that isn’t playable and only appears in cutscenes and comic panels.” Then, there’s Jamie saying, “Ain’t no one about to wear that big a$$ skin.” Ouch.
There’s a bunch of other drama going on as well. Apparently, the shiinaBR has got rid of blocks here and there in bewilderment by players asking,” Why are you blocking people?” and “Are you gonna block us?” It is almost a mini-soap opera in the comments, and we are here for all of it.
Enter the whole Galacta drama. Players like Sydney and Raxblade want a full Galacta skin instead of just a pickaxe. “We wanted a galacta skin,” Sydney wrote, with Raxblade adding, “We need a galacta skin.” I’m here for that. A Galacta skin would have been chef’s kiss, but instead, we got a staff. Thanks, Epic.
And then there are the Ash Williams fans. Apparently, Tronlover2004 is pleading, “Any news on Ash Williams?” since the Evil Dead icon is an MIA item shop. The struggle is real, folks.
Enough players have been happy so far. Psy_fly_butter wrote in a tweet, “EPIC I HAD OG (🤣🤣🤣) I’m glad he’s back for other people to enjoy,” which is a nice change of pace from that old gatekeeping. Clark_Kent_SM_ admitted, “I forgot this was a skin.” Honestly, same.
So, what’s the verdict? Marvel Rivals Doom and Galacta Staff are back in business, and the Fortnite community is divided. Some are happy, some are disappointed, and others are just here for the drama. Will this spur more Marvel Rivals collabs? Who knows. Everybody can agree on one thing, though: Epic Knows How To Keep Us Talking! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m headed over to debate whether to cop that skin while silently hoping for a Galacta outfit. Fingers crossed!
