Well well well – the Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is getting really scenic going onto the release pathway. Earlier planned sometime in 2025, the game now has been pushed to early 2026. What an internet circus!
The delay stays not satisfactorily shocking. It has almost become a tradition to delay this game. What is most peculiar, though, is the timing. Early 2026? Qué sorpresa—well, not so much—greatest chances for that to be the landing month for GTA VI! And the entire plan got mocked. One user @LexoManha said, “I think developers shid their pants when they saw GTA VI’s release date.” Ouch.
There are persons however with the patience to enjoy it. Some of these people like @Mac998_gaming say the whole affair is a win for all of us. “We have lists upon lists of games to complete,” they added, in a subtle hint that releasing the game now would only mean making the lists longer. Good point. @The_Nocto put this one cleanly: “Good, take the time to make this sh*t amazing,” which some might say was a faint dig at some of the previous Marvel team-up games that…well, sucked a little (*cough* Avengers *cough*).
And now, the bunch that is deluded. @lucashp654321 wondered: “Wait, this was meant to come out this year?” and @YZarviv toed along, “Was it supposed to come in 2025? 😅” Same. It’s been quiet for a long while now since the announcement; thus, this delay feels more like an anticipated late twist in a crappy movie.
Of course, no delay comes without some sarcastic “shocking” remarks, and @KrustevRosen went and nailed it: “You don’t say! I am shocked! I am in a shocked shocked state! *I am not.*” Taking it even further, @SneakySnake2375 speculated that the game would have as well been canceled… Wonder Woman-style. Yikes.
Well, not all hope is lost. @AvatarVerseUp thinks, “the wait is gonna be worth it,” and honestly? We sure do hope so. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is one hell of a premise-cap and Black Panther in WWII-should-I-sign-up?-marvel; but after the mess that was Marvel’s Avengers, the bar is… down, way past subterranean.
And shoutout to @AntonioU89172, who went with a simply, “Nooooooo. Yo lo quería jugar en 2025” (translation: “Nooooooo. I wanted to play it in 2025”). Mood, Antonio. Mood.
So what can be next? We wait! And play some other stuff in the meantime, because 2026 is farrrrr away and there’s a good chance Hydra might actually come to life before this game ever hits (props to @Art_inPlay for the joke).
In the meantime, let’s just hope that extra time will be used by the guys for that special thing—or, well, at least something that won’t have us feeling like we should have never pre-ordered.
And if not? Well… GTA VI is just there. Just saying.
