The official Metal Gear account gave an elegant look at the booth setup with a slick and futuristic style that had all important gamers chilling about what to expect come next month. Not going to Gamescom, being one of the biggest gaming events in the world, would be a disaster for Konami.
The tweet is simple yet effectively conveys the statement; it visually gives the layout of the booth and deskewingly asks which side he’ll be running towards first. Oh god, that’s a hard one. To the left, we have the much-talked-about remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, going by the name Metal Gear Solid Delta, while on the right is Silent Hill f, a long-awaited addition to a famed horror franchise that ought to have been put to sleep far too long ago. So yeah, good luck choosing where to sprint when those doors open.
But the real fun stuff happens in the replies. The comments range from questions, hype, and a few very interesting appeals. Boldly questioning if Konami is going for a Partitioning of MGS HD Collection Vol. 2 that would contain Metal Gear Solid 4 is Homo LudEns, because let’s be honest here-the second you really enjoy MGS4 anywhere that’s not a PS3 is the moment it’s not really legal, and no one’s about to dig in and pull out that dusty console for just one game.
Then Johan (ViewsFromNYC212) questions whether Delta will feature Japanese voiceovers for people who want to experience Snake Eater with the original cast. Kuwabara357 was quick to confirm it will, along with English subtitles for the very first time. This is huge for purists who have been waiting to experience the game finally in their native language.
