A secret transmission from Insomniac spread all over the internet like wildfire. The studio released a very cryptic tweet saying just “A little nudge….. 🙂” while slightly reminding people of the fact that there were more episodes of RATCHET AND CLANK: RIFT APART on their weekly Twitch channel, Insomniac Live; so the madness began.
The gaming community flooded the reply section with their demands, funny comments, and the classic “when-is-the-Xbox-port-coming” question. For the record, an announcement for any PlayStation exclusive is really accompanied by some jackass asking when it will come to Xbox. One account, @Wesder10, went ahead and said outright: “Soon on Xbox finally.” Yes, buddy, keep dreaming.
And the real talk: People are starving for more Ratchet & Clank content. Some want remakes. “@monsieurd_p” stated outright: “I want remake trilogy.” Then you’ve got @pumpkintron, who still in the hope of securing a Steam port of the PS4 reboot, while finally, @Tim03024556 demands PS2 classics for PS5, complete with a meme for opposition. It’s very real.
Meanwhile, @Jac20149Sweeney rushed in flaunting their platinum trophy for Rift Apart as “peak” and thanked Insomniac for the experience. Some respect there. And then, some back pain jokes from @JimoarGaming associated with the funniest line in the game — “ow my spine.” Word indeed.
And never forget the wildcards. @scubatropin ventured into Star Trek territory and wondered whether the dancing squirrels on planet Toldano were an homage to Aaron Eisenberg’s character Nog from Deep Space Nine. Insomniac, we need answers.
Then, @Real1090jake jumps in to demand Spider-Man for Xbox. Sir, this is Ratchet Freakin’ Clank’s tweet!
@RDWatson_Gaming is “ready for the sequel,” while @KAI_HORIZON hops straight forward to ask, “When will the new game Ratchet & Clank be announced? We’re waiting!” Patience, my dude.
So, what do you gather from this? Just one tweet from Insomniac and the whole pot has stirred. Whether it be nostalgia for the older games, love for the Rift Apart, or just plain chaos, the Ratchet & Clank community is alive and well. If you want to check out their latest Insomniac Live streaming, you know where to look.
Excuse us while we go refresh Twitter on the Wolverine news, on which @fakekyriejersey has gone berserk. Priorities.
