With the recent release of Spider-Man Remastered on PC, the game’s environment has been expanded to include playable versions of Kermit the Frog, Jesse Pinkman, DareDevil, and many more characters, all thanks to the ingenuity of the internet modding community. In addition, seeing Spider-Man Remastered in first-person perspective is now possible thanks to a recently-added mod. Players can experience the game as any one of dozens of distinct Marvel heroes, each with their unique perspective and set of intellectual property (IP) characters with which to interact.

This Spider-Man Remastered mod by Maraboe on NexusMods lets you play as Wolverine, one of the X-Men heroes. While Wolverine and Spider-Man have worked together in the past, Wolverine takes Spider-place Man’s here. This mod swaps out the Bombastic Bag-man Suit for a new spider suit that looks like Wolverine. Wolverine can be seen using webs shot from his claw-like hands in the photographs released by Maraboe to get around New York City.

Fighting similarly to Spider-Man suggests that Wolverine’s outfit is only a mask and that he has no distinctive abilities as a superhero. The release of Insomniac’s Wolverine game may be a ways off, but this thrilling Wolverine mod should keep fans satisfied.

The She-Hulk series included a Wolverine easter egg for those who want to see more of the Marvel mutant hero before the Insomniac game’s marketing campaign kicks into high gear. In the following months, fans of the character may look forward to appearances in a variety of non-comic book media, including the Spider-Man mod, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Insomniac’s next Wolverine game.
