Gwent Rogue Mage has four base decks with different playstyles. There are only 12 cards in the starting deck, but fortunately, there are several ways to improve the deck by choosing the right cards and increasing their power.

After winning a duel with a regular opponent, you can decide whether you want to add a random card to your deck or remove a card.
Add Cards: This option is handy at the start of a session when your deck is low on cards and you want to buff your tier before facing an Elite or Boss.

Card Removal: This option comes in handy when your deck gets too big, and you can’t draw the right cards during a duel.

By drawing or removing cards from the deck, you can shuffle the random cards that have appeared. You can do this indefinitely, but each action will cost you three energy points.

As you progress through the various stages of the map, you can find treasure chests. It’s worth checking them out because you can get some valuable cards to help you further. Inside you will find helpful spells or passive cards that appear on the board when the duel begins.

These are unique places on the map that come in different colors and provide additional bonuses, in addition to restoring a certain amount of energy:
Red Places of Power remove a card from the deck.
Yellow Places of Power allow you to turn one card into another.
Green Places of Power increase the selected unit by 3 points.
Blue Places of Power allow you to duplicate the selected card.

Events are unique places on the map marked with a characteristic icon like a wooden wall with a question mark on a blue background. Once the event starts, you can decide if you want to take the risk and participate or leave with nothing.

By participating in Gwen Rogue Mage events, you can get additional cards and energy points but also lose something if the attempt fails.
