With yet another new update to GTA Online, Rockstar Games emphasizes an accelerated flow of money. Double cash and RP rewards await players this week from a variety of odd jobs—from raiding to delivering emergency medical supplies to even slinging pizzas. Hands On Car Wash will also pay out 2X passive income. Cha-ching!

Leaving aside the clamors about making a whole lot of GTA$, some gamers keep staring Rockstar down while pondering when the studio will finally drop GTA 6. The responses were a wild mix of grind enthusiasm and full-throated impatience following the tweet from Rockstar. “@1YungHurricane is already busy grinding before GTA 6,” said one. “@RealTurkish28 straight out said, ‘We don’t care anymore gta 5’.” That hurts.

@eagerbeaver88 kept the ball rolling with a heartfelt rant on honoring George Floyd as a “national hero” in the next GTA, which led to heated discussions. @Tank95C questioned, “You call a druggy a hero? Then play the race card?” Justice was served against the speakers of this Twitter war within the GTA Online community. Classic.

Certainly, not everyone came for that. Some folks feed positive vibes about the update. “@DefJamEST said, Hell naw I ain’t doing no Legal Jobs,” while @rockstationonx said, “just mental 😍.” Then @AlfaGames__ chimed in with a seemingly random question for Rockstar, “Y el DNI cuando me lo pedís?” (And when are you gonna ask for my ID?). I’m not sure what he’s on about, but it cracked me up.

That aforementioned one topic about GTA 6 is the big elephant in the room. @Camerawbonner outright pleads with Rockstar not to push it back again by saying, “WW3 is near…” Meanwhile, @KC_4191 sighed, “GTA 6 is just long away. At least we got Battlefield 6 to pass the time.” Real talk, y’all.

That, in its most simplistic form, means: If you still consider yourself a GTA Online player, this tooling that charges for paper stacks is your time. But if you aim to move on and are waiting for the next big thing, well…keep on waiting. Rockstar is not ready to milk that cash cow for good yet. The replies to that answer are almost as good as the answer itself. Almost.
