You’ve noticed the intense traffic in GTA Online leading up to a heist, and being stuck behind an NPC who drives like a lunatic. Everyone slows down, wondering why that one guy is so slow at single-lane roundabouts and then flooring it at the green light. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting for the one car who will decide, on a whim, that the gas pedal is a good idea. Now picture that frustration, and instead of someone tuning it out, some guy slapping the steering wheel “I’m out,” grabbing his wings and soaring over the mess. Literally wings.
GTA Online has never been more active, and a clip of senseless driving has recently gone viral. Someone effortlessly flew over a jammed Los Santos and, what’s more, the flying car is real. The pinch shared by TheRealMurda10k shows a sizzling pink vehicle, lifting and gliding over the stagnant cars as if it were no big deal. Is it?
The comments were equally funny; “Avoids traffic ??? Crazzy 😂😂,” very much reflects sarcasm in traffic around me, and another person stated, “Only in GTA Online… flying cars for the morning commute.” If only I could skip lines in the real world, I would be investing in GTA Online right away. Then of course we got a reality check, “We really got flying cars before GTA6.” and that statement hit harder than traffic usually does.
Going back to the flying vehicles, someone mentioned the Oppressor Mk II. Someone in the chat sarcastically said “really changed the game, didn’t it? From humble beginnings jacking cars to now dog fighting in the skies.” And honestly, people aren’t wrong! To think gamers started GTA Online just stealing cars and doing drive-bys. Now we have flying bikes and cars. And probably, knowing Rockstar, flying toasters.
Not everyone is keen on the flying car debate. As one user put it, “More gta online slop what a surprise..” which looking at the game as a whole for the past ten years is a reasonable opinion. Secondly, “cringe, there are better things, who agree’s,” certainly raised some questions for me. Can’t we just enjoy the vehicles that the game has to offer? I guess I’m a little too nostalgic for flying cars.
The physics debate got slightly out of control. Someone asked, “Does GTA have Dead physics in it,” and Grok—not the Elon Musk one, I guess—responded with a detailed answer that, “GTA games like GTA IV and V use ragdoll physics (via the Euphoria engine) for realistic character movements including dead bodies that flop and react naturally to impacts.” This is way too tech talk for a pink flying car thread.
The arguments about color got out of control, with the pink car in the spotlight. Someone started with “Why pink though?” which was answered “Pink is a dope color.” by another user which, like, fair. Not much else needed to say. At the same time, a different player said it reminded them of “one of the cars from Simpsons Home Run” which is such a niche reference I have to respect it.
The made-to-reality comparisons were also pretty funny. One person exclaimed “I did the same thing on my way to work this morning” with a crying laughing emoji and the other said “when i drift my 350z ppl think it’s flying too… difference is mine’s actually real 😈,” which, ok, flex, but can your 350z really fly over traffic? I thought not.
As usual, GTA 6 comments kept on coming. “😂😂 Waiting for 6” one person said while another user sarcastically shared yet another version of the “so we got flying cars before GTA 6” meme, which I’ve seen too many times already. At this moment, I genuinely think that GTA 6 is some kind of urban legend we tell new players in order to keep their hopes up.
The absurd part is the level to which this has become the normal in GTA Online. When the game first came out, the craziest thing was a jetpack, and now we have flying cars, orbital cannons, and probably secret alien bases under the map. The power creep is real, and honestly, I can’t complain.
The clip is the classic GTA Online mess—a mix of bizarre vehicles, excessive chaos, and a style of humor this game alone is gifted with. It’s the type of content that keeps players coming back year after year, even with the lack of new single-player content. With Rockstar taking their time releasing GTA 6, the expectation is there, but they are making sure to keep GTA Online edgy and unpredictable.
Los Santos traffic isn’t going away anytime soon, so flying vehicles actually come in very handy. Manhattan of your time and a couple of million GTA bucks might be quite an investment, but the NPC driver-inflicted torture you’ll avoid is worth every penny. Also, watch out for the Oppressor griefers because the sky isn’t exactly a safe place these days.
