The most delicious news ever for the Fortnite players anxiously awaiting the Dragon Ball Z skins. Gohan and Piccolo are officially back in the item shop. The update was the confirmation of the two characters’ return, causing an eruption of madness from those who missed out on the first chance.
A tweet from the well-known Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR set off a flurry of excitement in the community. Reactive replies flooded in alongside some rather interesting combinations of hype mixed with desperate pleas for any sort of information; @_Orpheus_19 just went and screamed “FUCK YES … YES! PLEASE GOHAN I NEED YOU! I NEED YOU GOHAN!!!”—basically, same energy.
But the real question everyone wanted to ponder on was: would these skins be dropping anytime soon? Some players, such as @shaggymilk16, desired simply a date, whereas others like @JustS3thx questioned its authenticity. (“Are we deadass?”—Mood.). Yet, with no confirmed release window foisted on us, that only lumps up the speculations, with hopefuls wishing for alternate styles such as Beast Gohan or Orange Piccolo; @SkylerDexter1 could not resist begging, “Please tell me they’re getting Orange and Beast styles 🙏🙏🙏.”
And the talk about Gohan’s design just returned. @nyu_pika argued that Gohan in Fortnite is technically Ultimate Gohan and not base because of a mini-thread about how his transformation emote actually worked; meanwhile, @Letsago_Ryuken joked about Piccolo getting his iconic “aura farm” emote, which would have been an instant purchase for any DBZ fan.
Then there are those who have been waiting for months, even since the skins first hit the shop. @Hello_478 hit the nail on the head: “Holy cow I hope this is real been waiting for months 🥹.” Demand is clear, so clearly, Epic Games must be listening.
Nonetheless, as with all Fortnite surprise drops, no one really knew when Gohan and Piccolo would actually grace the item shop. Could be tonight. Or next week. And if it does happen…servers will probably crash percent times due to the huge crowd attempting to rush the servers.
So if you have been saving your V-Bucks all that time, keep your eyes glued to the item shop. And maybe, just maybe, we will see those extra forms too. Because, let’s face it, Beast Gohan in Fortnite would be one of the loudest events in Internet history.
Until then, all that’s left is to count the seconds and refresh the item shop repeatedly while praying Epic doesn’t blue-ball us with another delay. This Dragon Ball crossover has been one of the best ever Fortnite has ever seen, and the return of these two fan favorites is something every soul would be glad for.
Except maybe your wallet. RIP V-Bucks.
