Aside from the initial spoiler HoYoVerse gave for the Genshin Impact players, the Version 5.8 Special Program will air on July 18, 2025, at 8:00 AM UTC-4! Viewers will be introduced to all “juicy details” about the newest content, with updates and, of course, redemption codes at the mix. The Genshin players can catch the livestream on Twitch and YouTube; similar to the previous Special Programs, this one is outfitted with a lot of surprises.
Now, in addition to these genshin spewings, the leaks and speculations flowing among the replies seemed to capture the community’s attention more. “Maybe Bennett had Natlan,” to “Mualani hype (somebody please check Nauany34, they are obsessed),” it was a wild conversation. One player even said with a chuckle, “They’re out leaking you bro, step up your game,” to early spoilers. Classic Genshin fandom–never waiting for the real deal.
Unsurprisingly, Bennett would remain infamous for stealing the limelight with explosives. He was deemed “True Pyro Archon Benny patch” by quite a few, while others believed this might finally do some justice to the long-waited, somewhat tongue-in-cheek connection to Natlan. Another moment of attention hogging came from the promo art featuring Venti, with one player having an exasperated sigh, “Thought finally it’s not a Mondstadt event until I see Venti.” That must be a winning moment for Mondstadt fans.
Still, there is also this intriguing “Sunspray Summer Resort” theme–because what IS a Genshin update without an ambiguous title? The inquisitive theorists are speculating that this might be a hint to the summer event, maybe some beach vibes, or a brand-new temporary zone. Then, of course, there are others like RomanBidash, who’s just a little too practical and comments, “The name doesn’t exactly scream ‘depression and despair.'” “Well, Genshin’s lore does relish in such devastating gut-punches.”
Well, of course, one cannot skip saying: “I stopped playing the game, how long was I gone?” It would be a wound on the Special Program hype. AngelooMalehk—we are all aware of your whereabouts. But judging from the leaks–character sighting (Citlali, anyone?), all the way to Benny’s possible Natlan skins–this might well turn out to be the update that brings the lapsed players back.
We will never forget to mention the loud response in the replies. Somehow, from cries of go loud or go home for Mualani, “MUALANI MEU AMOR,” to demands for voice actors to return or for new voice actors if they refuse, the fever was strong unmatched. One thing to declare is that the Genshin community will never, never let an opportunity to go feral for pixels pass.
Save the date, Travelers. July 18 is bound to be one big day. Whether you stay for the lore drops and the codes or just hang out to witness Benny’s supposed glory, this Special Program will deliver. Maybe avoid Twitter if you’re trying to steer clear of spoilers—because let’s get serious here—the leaks are already out there.
