The tranquil moment appears to have Xiao sitting on a boat, absorbing all the Teyvat vibes as if he’s actually learning to relax—something he’s never good at.
The sweet little moment was disclosed by the official Genshin Impact account with the caption: “Happy Birthday, Xiao! Resting on this boat together with you, listening to the sound of the wind rustling through the lotus leaves… It calms my spirit. So this is what mortals mean when they say to ‘kick back and relax.’ Hmm. It’s a strange feeling… But having you here makes it feel less strange.”
And honestly? That sounds like peak Xiao energy to me. The guy has fought demons for centuries while bearing karmic debt, so it really warms the heart to see him finally back up-himself-too bad! The tweet dropped a hint about Genshin Impact’s TikTok channel having a lot more Xiao content, so those who actually like the Yaksha had better run over there.
Usually, something like this attracts a lot of conversation considering how it creates buzz in everyone’s mind when those tweets hit public display. Perhaps everyone is just busy re-watching the snippet on repeat or getting his Primogem farming activites prepped for his next rerun. Or potenially-Xiao’s aura was just a bit too intimidating for the most keyboard warriors.
Seriously though, hats off to miHoYo for showering that sort of love on Xiao; the dude sure deserves it after all he’s been through in the lore. Not to mention that, as is par for the course, the animation in that video was stunning-the way those lotus leaves were trembling and that ripple forming across the water? Just chef’s kiss.
Well, should he be able to catch some spare hours this year for the rest of the fun? More boat rides, less suffering. Maybe one-or two therapy sessions would do.
