There’s some very heavy news just thrown at all racing enthusiasts by Forza. Now the Endurance Tour, that super eye-test racing mode that really requires skill, is permanently in the Featured tab of Career mode. You won’t have to wait for it to rotate back in again; it’s just there, for good. Here, you push your speed, your strategies, and, yes, your endurance to the very edge in all sorts of modern and classics racecars. This is the one for any player who thinks he or she could go.

So, in a way, what makes the Endurance really important? One, it’s not really about the fastest crossing of a single lap. It entails consistency; it entails tire management; it entails fuel management; it entails holding under insane pressure for a very long time. That’s where all the cool stuff in car engineering is being tested-all the way that legends are forged, and now Forza Motorsport is essentially letting you live that dream anytime you want. Pretty dang neat.

This generated some discussions itself. When it came to reaction, they were quite mixed, exactly. The ones that could really be called enthusiastic included one from user NRT_Stealth: “Love that tours are now being made permanent. Please keep doing it.” It was only one among many. “Great to see,” said birkelu, and TrigaFTW said, “Love this tour. Thank you guys for continuing to update them!” So, a portion of the crowd, in fact, is very happy that Turn 10 Studios is listening and is fixing these popular modes in place.

Then you got your flipside-the one a little disgruntled with the current state of the game. User vinnymonaheng23 went off on a tirade asking, “New cars and tracks when?” followed by a huge list of demands that included stat tracking, ranked multiplayer, and championship modes. Obviously, some players feel that the basic game is missing a couple of key features that would make it really shine. That was closely followed by AleArwelloFlor with a pretty blatant request: “add more TRACKS please, no kill FM.” Yeah, pretty straightforward.

What really got heated was when players started diving into the actual meat of the racing itself. User jmann17771 started a whole thread about one of those bone of contention points, saying, “I get the 919 is the pinnacle of LMP1 in its respective era, but the Ginetta can hardly compete against it. Kind of frustrating when you have to take the best car in class just to compete.” That’s a classic battle in many racing games when one car in a class is so overpowering it wipes out any variety.

That sparked a full conversation. Floydntull wholeheartedly agreed, “Could not agree with your point more…I doubt it will happen but the PI system needs an overhaul, in all divisions and classes there is far too much difference between the best and worst cars leading to a lack of competitive racing.” The PI, or Performance Index, is meant to keep cars balanced; when it is off, that just means everyone ends up driving the same meta car to win. Not fun at all.

Then CombatPigeon96 grilled another level of pain, mentioning the use of Corvettes in the Daytona series and “there was almost nothing I could do against the fords.” The theme continues returning. But then paidtqxes gave a brutally funny reality check replying about the Ginetta: “Ginetta was ass irl too so they got it accurate.” So maybe the game is just painfully realistic? Who knows.

A couple of hidden nuggets of feedback kept popping up throughout the discussion. LukazBRL wants the endurance races to be truly time-based, “without ending in the middle of a lap,” which in turn would be way more faithful to real endurance racing. themiketvs whined that the 919 was “always losing the rear at almost every corner,” which sounds like a handling model thing. And cragleton just patiently plods along and asks: “Aston martin valkyrie lmh anytime soon?”

There is no game chat until yours truly dropped the classic console wars bomb. SemiAbual just tossed in: “Just bring it to PS5 already. ;)” Sorry, bud, that is probably never going to happen: Xbox staple.

So, what does that all mean for Forza Motorsport? Putting in place the decision of making the Endurance Tour permanent certainly gave them a big W. It means the devs understand what modes players enjoy and are making their mode a more frequent option. But the comments highlight the fact that the community has bigger concerns under the hood. Car balance, the PI system, and the appetite for more content, like tracks and cars-those are what real conversation is all about. These are indeed good times. An all-time favorite endurance mode to play forever, but the players will be looking for reasons to keep coming back on a balanced and continuously growing playground. Turn 10 has a long way to go still, but turning the most popular features permanent is a great step forward. Now, if only they would do something about that 919’s rear end!
