Welcome back, Fortnite peeps! After a whopping 779-day break, the legendary dance, ‘Well Rounded’, has come back to life. 779 days; not 977 days, nor 700; Seven Hundred and Seventy-Nine. And the gamers are just going crazy over it.
ShiinaBR, a leaker and insider in Fortnite, dropped a cryptic tweet with the news. The original cryptic tweet went backward as “🔥 !!syad 977 retfa snruter etomE ‘dednuoR lleW’ ERAR ehT”. That is, it reads as “The RARE ‘Well Rounded’ Emote returns after 779 days!!”. So, a little forensic exercise was in store for the Fortnite fans. Some answers were just outright confused, with @Soulbound_TV admitting, “My brain did a backflip trying to read that.”
When it dawned on them, all those who had been waiting since Chapter 2, Season 2 finally got what they wanted. The robotic emote shows a character smoothly spinning their arms in a stand-up kind of pose, present in the Shop once again. That glory of backing it up was waiting too, as ShiinaBR also encouraged its support with the code “Shiina”!
Some did not even know it was considered rare. @RareOoz3 said, “Didn’t even know that was rare,” yet another @DeaconRamos3 added, “Had this shit since the end of season 2 chapter 2 and saw no one using it.” That hurt. Guess rarity doesn’t equate popularity.
For some, however, that meant something. @THEBIGDAH69 referred to it as “one of my most requested emotes.” And @DreamCJen started to fact-check—”Well did it return after 977 or 779 days now? đź‘€” (779, for those unaware. Confirmed by ShiinaBR.)
Meanwhile, if any Fortnite patch update is accompanied by drama, replies tend to discuss those World Cup skins, that Italy didn’t get some cosmetics (“Italy was not among the countries that participated in the release of these skins,” stated @RUBY_Cherryz), and are quickly off-topic, jokingly comparing with Terraria (“terraria ah emote,” joked @BiggestDK64Fan). Classic.
Next, there are the hopefuls begging other rare emotes to be returned soon. @Dxrksamxz whispered from the void, “We’re getting closer to the Deep End Emote🙏🙏,” while @Dogwifahat5 directly asked, “When is this emote coming back 💔💔” together with a pic featuring another favorite.
What is it all about? Well, the Item Shop, in a nutshell, is pure nostalgia, and Epic Games have their grasp on things said and unsaid about our feelings. Collector, casual player, or straight-up there to watch robots do the robot? This can go both ways.
Now go grab it before it disappears for another two years! Or don’t. Either way, the discourse is chef’s kiss.
