Fortnite practically came in with arguably one of its coolest collaborations to date?? Ladies and gentlemen, hold your breath because the Dragonzord and Megazord are officially in the game. You heard it, right? The iconic Power Rangers mechs are stomping about on the island, much to the utter bewilderment of the player base.
Epic Games dropped this announcement with the classic Power Rangers theme song in the background-did-doo-doo, did-doo-doo, and honestly, it’s just pure nostalgia. The tweet contained the full glory of the Dragonzord displayed in a trailer, and it looked downright crazy from an in-game perspective. In true Fortnite major crossover fashion, though, the replies are filled with drama and chaos.
Even some players are debating as to whether the Dragonzord in Fortnite is actually Dragonzord Battle Mode!! And there’s a full-on debate happening in the comments section about this. One user going by the name of Bit Loud completely nerded out correcting Fortnite: “And THIS is the Dragonzord,” while posting an image of the standalone mech. PureLaith countered with: “The mode is called Dragonzord Battle Mode…” Kind of reminded me of playground arguments about which Digimon is stronger.
Then there are those purists who go: “Um, actually, it’s Daizyujin and Goryujin,” which are the original Japanese names from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Which I gotta respect, but come on, most of us grew up with the English dub and just wanna see giant robots smash stuff.
But apart from that, players seem to be mostly excited about the new content. khabiggClapsRoti said, “Ts is too good man,” and PHN4X said “Bro knows ball šš„,” which I think is a compliment?? The while others are requesting fixes and additions. BLOCKboycesar is asking Epic to “fix the split screen,” saying the big character icons hurt the experience. Meanwhile, hatsune_oso wants the exotic holo twister rifle in Zero Build mode, which… same, honestly.
There’s a whole !random drama concerning Fall Guys and batmobiles?? A Twitter user, Gustavo34614764, wants “Justice with Fall Guys!” While Daltonisnotme screams at the top of his lungs “WHERE IS THE BATMOBILE???” That appears to be a whole different discussion yet again; but you know, that’s Twitter.
Really, the new content is being well-received and adored by players. RusmanNikola praised the animation and attacks and said “Everything about it is peak” but then kind of suggested the health bar might need a buff with Godzilla seeming tankier. Then Adverse_F goes ahead and gets all sad for not getting the BP 4 the Dragonzord “i hate not having the bp 4 the dragonzord 𦧔 an emotion I feel so with.
What was I saying? Oh yeah, the crossover. So yeah, Fortnite remains the king of all crossovers, and this Power Rangers collab is no exception. Itās bringing back so many childhood memories, and the in-game models are looking really nice. Whether you call it Dragonzord or Daizyujin, one thingās for sure: players are gobbling it up.
And that blasted musicāthe theme song is now stuck in my head, and I don’t even mind. Just a normal day in Fortnite when one minute you’re holding down building keys for a wall and the next you’re piloting a giant robot dinosaur. What a time to be alive.
So if you still haven’t logged on, what exactly are you waiting for? Wrangle the Dragonzord and Megazord before somebody starts debating whether the Green Ranger’s flute is OP. Really, though, this is one of those moments where Fortnite nailed everything except naming. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got giant mechs to pilot and way too many memories to relive. Go go power rangers, am I right?
