Fortnite really blind-sided the world-the Outworld powers are stepping into the battle royale. Yeah, you read that right. It was all teased in a tweet from the account, with a link that threw fans into pandemonium, paired with some cryptic combo of ⬅️➡️⬅️✊. But community reactions, one update after the other, are… chef’s kiss level go, folks.
In the first place, the actual content. It is now Outworld-influenced madness in Fortnite-Mortal Kombat powers are wreaking havoc in the game. This isn’t just a regular collaboration; this is war-the spear rips across the floor with Scorpion and Sub-Zero freezing in mid-building. Just to name a few.
Theory-crafting among players is already in full swing on how these powers can change the meta.
But there’s the catch-Fortnite patches are never, no, never smooth. And this well and truly were max-response comments to that tweet. Once, just, @RDBT80 called the game a-“joke” after the update on account of a 25% packet loss. Ouch. Call in @ADswson42615 to plead removal of the OG minigun in strongly-worded complaints. @SMZProductions join in asking Epic for a UI that’s “less suicide inducing.” Harsh but fair.
Then, of course, we have the usual demands streaming in. @NexiSkye is out here begging for Arcane skins (where’s Jinx at, Epic??), while @Cb2488525265391 is entering day three of demanding Fairy Tail characters. Dedicated. And, oh! Don’t forget @pmstormpm, just nonchalantly asking, “B1 battle droid when?” I mean, right? We all want it.
The bans-and ohhhh, the bans. @corruptwhoa is alleging to have been wrongfully banned for something annoying called a “flagged WiFi connection,” and no one from support will speak to them. @37kscott, meanwhile, is just sitting there, waiting for their unban like, “When??” Mess. And honestly? Kind of iconic.
But the real question, what next? Is Mortal Kombat brutality enough to have a whole MK LTM in Fortnite? Well, @NukaToxic dares to dream. And with the collab frenzy Epic has been rolling out, surely not impossible. Maybe we are finally getting Taylor Swift skins, as @Pankaj638471098 jokingly (?) suggested.
So, yeah, Fortnite’s at it again-breaking this time breaking hearts and somehow keeping us all hooked. It’s a love-it-or-hate-it situation; you just can’t avert your eyes. Now, if you’d please excuse me, I’ve got to practice some Fatalities-just in case.
