Saga of Ninjago-Spinjitzu through the Battle Bus is for the most persistent players. Today is your day if you’re one of those players. Newest rumors from the always-on ShiinaBR and NotPaloleaks teams have verified that the new update is a Ninjago-themed one, bringing along three, yes THREE, all-new emotes in the Fortnite Item Shop. In essence, from later today you will get these emotes. No more waiting and no more guessing. It’s on.

For those who are not aware Epic has already been doing crossovers between Fortnite characters and the Lego Ninjago universe for some time now, but if I am to be honest, I think that this one was the most different one. It brought in the Masters of Spinjitzu themselves—Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, and Nya. And now it seems Epic is letting the skin aspect go far beyond, Emotes are the next logical step, aren’t they? Need a way to party in the victory royale with some elemental flair.

ShiinaBR’s tweet left no room for misinterpretation: “3x NINJAGO EMOTES DROP IN TODAY’S SHOP”. No extra, no ambiguities. Only a strongly stated declaration. And the community? They have basically gone crazy but in a very nice way. The replies set the mood, and these vibes go from total hype to very particular, very urgent requests.

Let’s dissect the chat because it is the very revelation of the truth. ‘Bug The#1 Broomalcro shipper’ said “Oh my god I’m gonna be BROKE” expressing a fear that is quite common. A situation we can all relate to. A significant amount of V-Bucks will be no more. Yet at the same time, the mighty theme of comments was not limited to the emotes. It was about the music. The Weekend Whip.

Honestly, if you go through all those replies, you will surely come across it repeatedly. “Please tell me we get the weekend whip as a jam track,” Mixi Virus begged. “We definitely need the Weekend Whip jam track,” IronSpider 175 confirmed. Jolly Ghostface Fortnite put it very bluntly: “Ok, but is the WEEKEND WHIP also coming? It’d be a total waste if they don’t drop it.” The demand is palpable. The iconic theme song is as much a part of Ninjago as the spinning. The release of these emotes without the track would be… incomplete. Like pizza without cheese. Just wrong.

But wait! The plot thickens as it always does in the case of Fortnite leaks. The comments became a place where the discussion of other potential drops took place, a mini-news hub, if you will. Everyone wants to know about the enigmatic “Playboi Carti” skin that has been rumored for ages. “Is playboi carti going to be in the next refresh?” Travelo asked, and Ideekayy added “And Carti? 🙏” with a praying hands emoji. So it seems that players are preparing for a considerable shop refresh probably linked to an update. User ‘Gumbgraal’ directly asked, “chat is there a new update tomorrow?” and got “Yes” from Sidra. So this emote drop could be part of a larger wave.

There is even talk of the Back to the Future collaboration and the release of OG Season 7 items in the pipeline as pointed out by Nuchos. ThatDremGuy tried to lower expectations, though, responding to someone about BTTF: “Unfortunately, I don’t think so because Ninjago, Carti, and BTTF cannot be dropping on the same day.” That’s a good point. Epic likes to stretch these things out so that we will keep on logging in every single day.

A few players didn’t share the same enthusiasm, like ‘Bruɳa’ who said the colab was “so mid I yawned”. But, on the other hand, you can’t please everyone. The dominant reaction is one of sheer excitement. People are ready. They are sharing gifs of the ninjas, they are speculating which emote might belong to Zane (cleb joked “zane hittin that”), and they are just straight-up buzzing.

So, what does it all mean? It means that Fortnite’s item shop will have a lot more lively ways to communicate. Three new ways to communicate, probably some spinjitzu-like moves, maybe a cool weapon flourish or an elemental power pose. The exact emotes are still a secret, but the leak is reliable. They are coming.

The larger question, the one the whole community is practically screaming into the void, concerns the Weekend Whip jam track. Epic Games, if you’re listening—and let’s be honest, you have great support on PlayStation and Xbox—please make it happen.
