With this, the rumor mill just exploded for Fortnite. A whole list of alleged leakages concerning the next of the game had surfaced, and the players are simply losing their minds over what late really means. The said information has been given by a source considered reliable “at one time.” Hence, almost everyone was looking at the leaks suspiciously, if not outright delusional on their face.
That list, though, looks outright crazy! The leaker HYPEX, whose info was allegedly sourced from @blortzen, is on fire. We hear of an apocalypse-type story event marking the end of a chapter, the return of concerts in Chapter 7, but the main one–the OG map coming over to Chapter 2. Just like that. So, they actually might be taking back the OG map but with a Chapter 2 context. Then comes the talk about having an XXXTentacion skin, which basically split the community into two. Half are hype about it, as one tweeted, @vDarth_Bruce, “Can’t wait bruh, I really hope XXXTentacion happen, I’d cop it so fast.” And then there are these other voices. @Ace2acc7 said, “Pls dont add celebrities that died its disrespectful,” which kick-starts a whole back-and-forth about the ethics. Then, someone else said, “xxx trash in the big 2025 is crazy,” so yeah, it’s a real debate.
The leaks get really strange from here. Let’s speak of this so-called “Dark Presence,” an absence of collab but being called a “Demon Lord,” which could be Asmodeus. Like, what does that even mean for the storyline? Then hats and jackets and LEGO Mecha Fight mode, maybe Symbiote Season with Knull from Marvel; and Party Royale and Jam Stage might get merged, which keeps us expecting all-out chaos or, just maybe, a brilliant idea.
And now, the real lulu bombs. The leak talks about an overhaul to Rocket Racing, alongside the Rocket League port being done to Fortnite. @yoobatroopa replied with, “”Rocket league ported over” please be serious Fortnite,” and that’s the vibe. Is Epic really going to put a whole other game inside Fortnite? And as if that weren’t enough, Fall Guys is to be ported along with it. Epic is building a game universe inside a game, and that’s a little next-level of what they’ve been doing, anyway.
For LEGO enthusiasts, the leaks say Cattus AND the Caretakers are coming to the LEGO mode. Then, there is the Star Wars bounty hunting mode and the Disney Mode(s) like Disney Infinity. User @MainEventYeeter specifically got excited for that one, linking an image probably of what Disney Infinity looked like. So, like a whole Disney world inside Fortnite. Insane. And there is also chatter about another Warner Bros. collab, OG car skins, alongside some “NewJeans has NEVER been considered for anything.” Which is a weirdly specific thing to leak.
The reactions from the players are all over that spectrum. The OG map got those that begged NOT to be going into Chapter 2, @naassah7 pleading, “Do not move OG into C2 ffs man.” Others are just baffled about this gargantuan list of stuff to come down to the pipe. For example, @KnightOw7 simply stated, “Fortnite made a list.” Then there are those who look at it somewhat practically like @die_prime wondering if “that means we get a Rocket League port, does that mean Southeast Asia and South Africa will finally get servers, to which Fortnite currently has none, but Rocket League does?”
There is a lot to take in, half of which sounds too crazy to go all the way. Then again, we are talking of Fortnite here. They’ve done crazier stuff. Remember when they had a giant monster fighting a robot live event? Or when they literally wiped the entire map? So absolutely nothing is off the table now. A Symbiote Season or a full-blown Disney mode isn’t that crazy of a thought for this game. Epic really turned Fortnite into this giant mutable cum social area, game-cum-concert venue, and at some point, maybe-eventually-cum-what-everybody-wants-to-play-when-they-wake-up-in-the-morning.
Clear divides are visible among the community points, especially the celebrity skins. But the ambiance around here is buzzed with anticipation. There is a miff even with skepticism about what is next. Will we really get to play Rocket League without leaving Fortnite? Will there be a demon lord running around the island? Until time decides if the rumors prove right or not, one thing is for sure: Fortnite never stays silent, but if half of this list becomes true, then be ready for an uber-wild year ahead. Players should probably just consider buckling up and hold on for the ride Epic intends to throw at them. And ain’t we here for it, even when none has an inkling of what’s-coming-next? PlayStation and Xbox players alike are watching closely.
