Fortnite players are really going all-in over a fresh drop of the very shoes that have commenced teasers: And really, the hype is well justified. The famous Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, gave us glances on Instagram concerning the upcoming shoes—all reactions go off into wordless chaotic madness.
First up, there are these bee slippers to consider. Oh yes! Cute, fuzzy honey-themed slippers, which one can easily picture being snuggled into an Animal-Crossing house. Some players are already screaming for BEE SLIPPERS FOR POLLYY (whatever that means) from @rawkoutgirl, while @laurahh99 just snatched those slippers with “Okay the bee shoes are mine.” Like, no hesitation.
But that’s not the only thing with bees. There’s also this pair of rugged booties trying to pass as post-apocalyptic chic. @rogueb3d summed it up perfectly with, “OHHHH FUCK WE GETTIN BOOTSSSS,” and honestly? Mood. Some players see them as a “W combo,” while others are begging Epic to please stop with all the fire cosmetics since @realNumberSets says, “I’m vbuck poor right now.”
Others, though, aren’t happy with this trend. @erayy555 slammed it with, “Nothing good ever for shoes,” and @symbiote_man has been waiting for high heels as if it’s a personal vendetta! Meanwhile, @DaJesster demands CHUCKS because, you know, Fortnite needs some classic Converse vibes.
And, because order and Fortnite Twitter don’t exist in the same league: @GTASixJoker begs HYPEX to kick him soon (???), while @Kingsiffan is basically using this as a tech-support thread to mill around server issues in Africa. And among the conspiracy theorists we find @littlemankay thinking the bee is a “miraculous teaser,” which… sure, whatever.
The real question, though: When do these drop? @RobQueen_ is already planting a claim for tomorrow, with the others just praying their wallets survive through this. One way or another, Fortnite is jumping into the shoe biz, and these players are all hopping on the ride.
