The new Bathany skin is going for an 800 V-Bucks price tag and is essentially the character who looks like she has just come out of the bath—bathrobe, towel on head, and slippers. Yup, a bathrobe skin in a game that’s usually about blasting people with shotguns and building ramps. Only in Fortnite, man.
The skin had been revealed by the very prolific leaker, HYPEX, who is always ahead of any shop updates; he even provided his creator code, so any of you out there could support him while purchasing this skin. Reactions from the players have been everywhere. Some absolutely love this, as they say it is well worth their money for something so strange-looking, while others feel it is the peak of bad taste. One player even said, “This is next level bad lmao,” and fair enough, everybody has a different taste.
Almost from the beginning of Fortnite, skins have always been an eclectic mix of ideas, going from superheroes to bananas to…now…bath time chic. The reaction is always either love it, or baffled by it. One of the comments read: “Wearing gloves in a bathrobe is crazy,” which is a valid argument-who does? In the middle of the mayhem, Grok, the AI, brings the blow-by-blow, calling it a “fun bath-themed outfit” with styles including robe and towel headwrap and was worth it if you liked the style. Another responded as to why Grok didn’t answer properly, which is just brilliant, because I mean, it’s an AI—you really expect it to?

For 800 V-Bucks, it really is dirt cheap when it comes to a full outfit, and players who enjoy the unique appeal of looks will definitely be sold on this. But for the rest, that’s a hard pass. Regardless of whether it’s a good or bad buy, it now has everyone involved, discussing, and, yes, actually grabbing one! Because, let’s face it, Fortnite players will pick up anything remotely interesting, especially if it’s for a limited time.
