Well, the Fortnite Item Shop just unveiled its items for Monday, December 15th, 2025, and to say that the selection is huge would be an understatement. FireMonkey and other regulars have officially revealed the rundown, which indicates that there are 157 items in the shop today – a staggering total. In a way, I suppose one could see it as a digital mall. Alongside these, there are 47 items which are new and 12 which are almost gone, so you better hurry if you want them, maybe.

Anyway, player reactions were not very enthusiastic, to say? Not quite like that. It was more like a mixture of a sigh of relief and side-eye at the same time.

Just the number of items at the beginning is like too hard to manage. Like, having 157 items all at once on your screen could be easily called the devil’s work for anyone’s V-Bucks wallet, which was the way one player described it really nicely. It could be a decision that you may regret later. The shop is open all the time and today it is at a very high energy level. Introducing 47 new items is just crazy. Your wallet is on the risk range near the Item Shop. But people still seem to be asking the question of ‘What has the shop been stacked with?’ mostly.

Because if you take a step back and go for a stroll through the replies to the shop announcement, you will find out that it is indeed a whole journey. It is a blend of desperate pleas, confusion, and outright disappointment. It is December, Christmas is just 11 days away. And if you want to get the mood of the community, it is… where are the Christmas items? One player was super upset and said ‘these niggas on some lil dill and bleach garbage’ while lamenting the lack of holiday stuff. Another complained, ‘Release the same shit over and over again where are the Christmas skins? it’s December!!!’ You can almost get the frustration. It is as if all the players were holding their breath for the festive drop, but instead, the shop is serving… nothing.

There are even very specific and heartrending requests. The saga of ‘Big Dill’ is a whole subplot. One player is crying, ‘I really need Big Dill to go with my Lil dill who can gift me dill’. So, just a pickle predicament, literally. But then another player has to tell him, ‘Big Dill was part of a season pass, sorry bro 😔.’ Oof. That really hurts. You just can’t buy that legacy. So, there is this one guy who just wants to finish his dill duo and the game is like no. Classic Fortnite FOMO right there.

Other players are still looking for certain skins that have long been gone and will not come back. One of the players is really into the idea of having Cyberpunk 2077 crossover skins and even saying that they are so desperate that they have the V-Bucks ready and that they are even playing the game which makes them more desperate. They even have GIFs prepared for when the skins come back! The emotional dedication is for real. Another person is simply asking for the ‘Chandelier’ emote. Just one simple emote. ‘I just want chandelier bruh 😡’. The struggle is universal yet so personal.

Furthermore, the problem is not only about what isn’t there. Some people are simply thoroughly mystified by what is. ‘Y’all found something cool? I don’t see anything of my liking 🤷’ wasn’t a player to be silent. The icon emotes selection also got negative reviews: ‘The icon emotes selection is always so poor bruh. No nutcracker today and I #cried’. The disappointment is almost palpable. Some comments are blunt: ‘These shops are so fking shit’ and ‘What a fking joke, it’s like they just gave up😂’. No power of words in the Fortnite community today.

What was I saying? Ah, yes, the shop. Oh, and by the way, there’s another odd thing about the date? One player was like, ‘This ain’t Monday wtf’. Which is… a whole different kind of confusion. Is it a timezone thing? Or is it just that the shop update has such an off feeling that one doesn’t even recognize the day? That’s a mood.

Amid all the cosmetic chaos, there is even a request related to technical problems. Someone wondered if FireMonkey could tell us when the Lego Fortnite login issue would be sorted out, calling the silence ‘radio silent’. So, it is not all about skins – some users just want to play other modes without any trouble on their console! In conclusion, the general sentiment is that it is a strange mixture of overwhelming choice and disappointing content. 157 items are available, but if none of them is that one special anymore.
