Epic Games really infused a serious horsepower with the Corvette ZR1 in Fortnite, and the players are loosing their minds over this American muscle machine. The tease in Fortnite has it that this zoomie is “just a few quests away” from being acquired, and every player is hurriedly completing the challenges to get on board with this monster. The community has… opinions… so many opinions about this, as usual.
First of all, let’s speak about the car. The Corvette ZR1 is a friggin’ beast in real life, pushing power with a supercharged V8 that bellows like a banshee half-crazed on caffeine. As an almost reverberating tribute to its loud roar in reality, it screams around the Fortnite island with the slickest lines and that unmistakable Corvette vibe, completely unlike the somewhat utilitarian look of some other Battle Royale cars. The kicker: Some players are already complaining about drop grinding. Like, a dude complaining he can’t even play Rocket League, which is supposed to be part of some of the challenges, because his ping is “400.” Oof. That’s like racing with square wheels.
Squads, though, are pitting against each other. Epic is basically making competitors team to unlock this, which is making solo guys very angry. One guy named Enzo_Sensei is just outright depressed in the replies: “Yeah gonna miss this one, dont have anyone to play with, sad that is the only to get it done.” Bro, mood. CHEWIE responded with the most gamertag-styled answer ever: “Make a 2nd account 🤷 And play with That as your teammate.” Genius? Desperate? Not sure, but probably works.
Others are just turning this into begging for their preferred ride. Lazarus Wolf is out here screaming “❤️ BUGATTI ❤️ please !!!!!!” like his very life depended on it, and TheBigMack94 is just patiently waiting for the return of the T-Pain Ford Mustang GTR. Priorities, people.
And the real feud? That would be amongst the DBZ fans. Man, these guys aren’t gonna stop. Gas_Shinokuni came in hot with “That’s great and all but can we finally update the goku and vegeta models? They look awful compared to the rest of the skins in the set.” Then Yeet basically threatened Epic with “EPIC GAMES BRING BACK GOHAN AND MY LIFE IS YOURS.” Like… damn. The passion. The desperation. The all-caps energy.
And then there’s of course the random stuff. K-Pop Demon Hunters? Thor holding Stormbreaker in one hand? Superman mythics? The reply section is just a chaotic wishlist at this point.
But ultimately, the Corvette ZR1 is here, and she is high octane all the way unto the island. Grinding challenges, begging for Bugattis, vibing with esport chaos-launched, one thing is sure, Fortnite knows how to stir things up. Now if you excuse me, I have to convince my cat to be my duo partner to unlock this beast.
