The leak comes from SamLeakss, who is usually pretty reliable, and the language just screams “FORTNITE X DOJA CAT – COMING SOON,” which… yeah, not exactly subtle. But I guess that’s kinda how these things work.
Player reactions have been a bit all over the place, honestly. Some are really hyped, screaming, “FINALLY OMFGGGHHHX”, “ITS ABOUT TIME” as Doja Cat has been streaming herself playing the game lately so she is basically with them. Oh well, others just said, “oh god no…” and some even commented, “this is worse than ice spice,” which, oh boy. Then there are some rumors about her wearing a pedophile shirt? Wait, what was I saying? Yeah, so there’s supposedly some controversy around that, which is Twitter for you.
One gamer had mentioned that Doja has already rubbed shoulders with various other people who are in Fortnite, including Post Malone, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ice Spice, Billie Eilish, and Juice WRLD, so she is just joining the club. And then this person who’s just shortsighted somehow replied with, “she’s going to be in the same game as Daft Punk, Spider-Man, Hank Hill, Batman, Darth Vader, and Skibidi Toilet,” which honestly… the weird synergy in that list is kind of amazing. Fortnite really is just this giant limitless crossover event.
Speaking of which, how would a Doja Cat skin look like? Probably ultra-fashionable and colorful—multiple looks, possibly from her music videos. Also, I’m sure one of her songs will be turned into an emote, most likely “Say So.” For the pickaxe, probably some absurd item like a mic or a diamond bigger than her ego. That’s just Fortnite.
There are players out there already saying they’re buying this skin no matter what, with one clown commenting, “i will b buying” heart-eye emoji.
