The Fortnite army took to the internet to express their rage over the update. Specifically, an update to the shop summary was patched in, but that still left some of the most requested collabs out of the game; the reactions were only to be expected.
Fortnite leaks and data mining is a multimillion-dollar industry, and right after the patch was pushed yesterday, ShiinaBR, a player and data miner for Fortnite, gave the updated list for the shop summary. The tweet said the update would occur one more time in 14 days, but patiences were just the last thing any Fortnite player showed in their replies, which basically turned into their wishlist and a few meltdowns.
JJK would have been the first collab to shatter the Internet. Multiple replies were outright expressing the question: Where is this anime collab already, especially with JJK Blitz Week rumors floating in the air? WaspItz captured the gamers’ lament for Gojo and co.’s arrival into the Item Shop: “So jjk isn’t coming out when a jjk blitz week was announced?” Another player, excerns, tersely asked, “where is jjk?”—simple to the point, and full of pain.
Now the Terminator drama began. One of the fellas, zirebtw, baited the comment section with, “is the terminator included.” No context; just vibes. Then players such as 74Kevfn posted a screenshot of the T-800 skin, with a caption of, “WE wanted this not the other one 😞.” So it looks like not all robot skins are the same.
There are stans for Ariana Grande now, too. Gustavo_connor_ asked directly, “Where’s Ariana Grande?” Because, for real, her concert event was legendary, and the players have been begging for her return ever since.
But that was not the end of the chaos. Someone then brought Up How To Train Your Dragon (HTTYD). Ev_L0L asked, “I just wanna know why Fortnite haven’t done collab with httyd.” For real? Picture gliding around the entire map on Toothless. Epic, take notes.
And then there was Batmobile drama. Kreebs29 shot a simple-yet-dramatic, “Where is the Batmobile?” at ShiinaBR because apparently, Gotham’s finest ride is still MIA.
Followed up by Rocket League crossover madness. vvLOKIvv was pleased that Rocket League cars were crossed over into Fortnite: “I was surprised when I hopped on last night and the ripster was in my inventory.” But others, like _Lucky_le_modo, weren’t so lucky, moaning, “I don’t have it on RL (I check it and I don’t find it).”
Oh, and Snoop Dogg? Yeah, that was another one waiting in line. Bruh06041995379 told the story of having spotted him before Christmas and is convinced that he’s going to be in the Item Shop real soon. Fingers crossed, buddy.
Then there were a few random curveballs with idkqwa throwing in that casual “you forgot clix,” as if the pro player was supposed to be a shop item. Then another said just as casually, “What about krypto?” No explanation. Just krypto.
One of the few times for calm glided in as somewhat reasonable amongst all the demands was when a player called the_gay_bandit actually asked the question: “Do you have an estimate for that Slurp Super Nova?”
Yes, Fortnite’s latest did its thing, but players are still waiting for their dream skins. Will JJK finally arrive? Will Ariana make her grand return? And seriously, where’s the Batmobile? One can only hope to perhaps see a ShiinaBR tweet or two soon enough to help solve at least some of these mysteries.
Until then: leaving to fate. And maybe just spam Epic’s mentions for good measure.
