With the banner leaking, hype for Fortnite Season 4 has suddenly taken a huge leap, while the gamers are losing it due to the crazy amalgamation of collaboration. The image, shared by the trustworthy leaker HYPEX, is a mixture of characters thrown in, as if somebody dropped a nostalgia bomb into the battle royale. Honestly? Genuinely chaotic.
We have to describe keyart because there is A LOT to unpack. Players are putting their money on what looks like a Halo Spartan (yes, Master Chief as a party crash!), a panda (random, but okay), some gamer girl with buff arms (??), and Shadow-the-Hedgehog-gone-crazy-at-the-gym. Against this, the Tier 100 skin, looking very much like a Power Ranger, already has fans shouting “GO GO POWER RANGERS” replying to the tweet.
The reactions? Pure gold. One said it best-“Halo + Power Rangers is insane” by player Dharu24. Others like Jestoreo seem to just want the giant robots, yelling, “I LOVE BIG ROBOTS IN FORTNITE!!!!!” (I second that). Not everybody’s pleased; some, like Gabbie (@JadeTheKiller33), are calling this already the “worst battle pass” for reasons pertaining to Fortnite’s storyline being hijacked again by “unoriginal characters.” Ouch.
And then, there were secret skins. As per the norm, Epic will be dropping a couple of secret skins, with the players already theorizing. Could that be the gamer girl in the Power Rangers trailer? Or maybe, just maybe, we get that long-rumored Shrek collab? (Okay, probably not, but a guy can dream.) One thing’s for sure-this season is one hell of a surprise.
And all for the Power Rangers for a while. The hype is REAL. Players are begging for Green Ranger Tommy (shoutout to Westo for the all-caps demand), and the thought of a Megazord transformation has everyone wondering if we’ll be piloting a giant robot in mid-match. Imagine dropping into a game counter with a 50-foot mech. That kind of crazy is what Fortnite is all about.
Not everyone is wholly convinced though. @TheSimpsonsDid and lot others are simply sick of yet another crossover: “Why can’t they do a normal season bruh?” Another great point, but for real, Fortnite stopped being “normal” the second Thanos showed up. At this point, the crazier the collabs, the better.
Opinions are split even on the keyart. Some, like Milanz, love the no-logo version; others, including MetaBaz7, mock it with “Worst Quality + EPIC logo.” Classic Twitter.
What’s next? More leaks, of course. Players are already demanding to know if there’s a gameplay trailer on the back burner. With the season just around the corner, it sure won’t be long until Epic makes the official announcement. Till then, memes and speculation keep coming.
One thing’s for sure: Fortnite Season 4 is very much shaping up to be another crazy ride. So, whether you’re here for the Halo Spartan, the Power Rangers, or just the absurdity of it all, there’s going to be something for everyone. Or at least something to fight over on Twitter.
Now, if you’ll forgive me, I’ve got some morphin’ time posing to practice-just in case.
