A new wave of content has hit the players in Fortnite with mixed reactions. The latest Season 4 OG teaser released and gave us mention of a renewed Tron x Fortnite collab, Guff skins (of course), and some space-themed items. Though the excitement is far from universal, as there are players still awaiting the return of the Street Fighter skins.
This name in the space tab could be teasing OG Season 4 alongside a Tron collaboration comeback, giving the players a second shot at those slick neon outfits. Guff skins are also back on the menu, while the Infinity set is back, too. But the hype isn’t universal; some are feeling let down.
One player, @meepmeep_lex, demanded an outright “Give us Street Fighters!!!!” They are not alone. @Smol_Klutz opined it is a “Major L” that Epic Games have not brought back the Street Fighter skins, especially considering it is the anniversary of the franchise: “They always wait til basically everyone stops caring.”
Meanwhile, @spideymatt93 gave some constructive criticism: “Those Tron skins would be better if they had color options.” Fair point: customization is king in Fortnite.
You do have the other side, though, like @26_fabix, who claimed, “This item shop is the best we’ve had for 5 months if not more.” And then, there is @LukeyWolf_ agreeing with, “Guff is there so it’s the best.” Wining for Guff fans.
Then, something for OG Season 4 to mull.
Players like @OmegaDaCrownGod showed confusion: “I thought OG Season 3 was all about the space theme?” While others like @RgaardTobi18300 questioned Epic for continuing with the other space themes, when there was already missing content for the Star Wars season: “Why this other space stuff now?”
And the funny jester is always around: @lorika34 outright asked, “Who’s playing this sht ass OG?” Ouch!
Whichever reaction it gets, mixed or not, one thing is sure: Riot updates are really explosive for the community. Whether you are even slightly interested in Guff, Tron, or are still holding out for Ryu and Chun-Li, there is never a dull moment in this game.
So, what to expect next? Already, on the eve of OG Season 4, questions are being asked: What will Epic do for us? More collabs? New battle pass skins? Or maybe the long-lost Street Fighter skins?
Meanwhile, it seems no one’s slowing down the journey of space-themed hype cruise for now.
