The item shop has got new Fortnite skins for the pack-up sequences, and the community got really excited. Without a doubt, Agent Weaver is definitely the crème de la crème, who is simply super sleek: a secret agent type that can step into a spy movie or something. There are four new skins that entered the stores, and the opposing faction inside Fortnite is debating hot and hard on whether they rated or trash.
The big news, always thrown by the oft-popular leaker HYPEX, who has this record of always being first in breaking these kinds of reveals. HYPEX tweeted pictures of all of these fancy new skins, complete with a link to buy them, mentioning his own creator code just for support! Then came the standard Fortnite media response that got completely all over the place.
Agent Weaver and his gang are loved by so many, with one “Frankie” commenting, “I instantly brought agent web. ❤️” (Good ol’ Frankie mixing up ‘bought’ with ‘brought,’ but we get the idea.) KO was all in saying, “Agent Weaver reporting for duty,” probably just perfect for a secret agent skin. Well, then the other side of the coin happens – a few players think these new skins are pretty weak. The user named RIPTWITTA refused to mince words: “No one buying that dog shit” for these new additions. Ouch! Harsh, but hey, different strokes for different folks.
What’s funny about Fortnite is that, with all those good stories, the best ones are actually the ones in which players are already wondering about what is NOT in the shop instead of what IS. Questions like when various skins will be returning or why certain favorites just haven’t dropped yet keep popping. Luxanator36 just asked, “And still no Pixelle,” while another one was grouching about Evie.” Looks like no matter what Epic drops, there will always be somebody lining up and asking for something else.
Next in line was the medallion question in BR mode: “When are we going to get medallions in BR again?” asked TipperzJ. See, that just proves our point about Fortnite players – they remember everything that has ever been in the game and want all of it back, like, yesterday. It’s like walking into a candy store and asking for that one specific candy you had three years ago that they don’t make anymore.
The Portuguese tournament had commenced! One user said, “Eu viii, até q enfim 🙏,” which really does mean “I saw, finally,” so they’ve been waiting on these skins for a while. So wonderful to see how global this Fortnite community is and how excited everyone gets about content drops.
Now, here’s the slimy scoop. Some players are worried about the possibility that Epic might be holding back particular skins. And an entire debate rages whether they canceled Evie or not, with one player saying, “They won’t cancel it we have waited since the end of July for the spider skins that realised last night lol.” So, apparently, there’s this big thing of players waiting for months for those select skins to finally drop, depressing, but I’d imagine that hype is just built because of that waiting?
Funny thing is-they’re discussing future content already when we’ve just had new content released. Somebody says about Pixelle: “She will be the next Lego pass skin so probably soon,” basically confirming that everybody is already excited about whatever is next in Fortnite’s ever-changing world.
Cruel though: one commentator gave a full Team Rocket reference: “Get ready for trouble And it will be double trouble To protect the world from devastation…” which honestly made me laugh because, who expects a random Pokemon reference in a Fortnite skin discussion? But such is the internet-always full of surprises.
That’s about when the wallets start crying—better expressed by Sophia Reese, “POV you just walked into the item shop and your wallet cried 💀,” and that’s probably what a lot of players feel every time there’s a skin drop. Certainly, Fortnite knows how to part the player from his money.
New skins or not, whether you love these skins or think them trash, one thing is for sure, Fortnite item shop rotations keep the game fresh and give players new things to talk about every day. Constantly releasing new cosmetics means there will always be something to savory even if it’s not what you wished for. With leakers about like HYPEX who keep dropping PMs, that hype train has never stopped moving.
Agent Weaver and the other new skins are out at present if you want to have a few looks going in your Fortnite locker; just maybe have a quick check on the bank balance as V-Bucks do add up real quick. But hey, looking good while doing those victory royals is about half the fun in Fortnite!
